Talk about a busybody. I hope she told you to mind your own f***ing business.

Why would she, I was standing next to a somewhat irritated cop. She covered up.

It so often amuses me when posters attempt to play some moral virtue card and instead out themselves as compete  🍆wombles.....   :whistling:

It so often amuses me when posters attempt to play holier than thou and expose themselves as complete net warrior flamers

As I was walking to the restaurant along the beach I saw a tatted up farang woman with her knockers out

We should rename the Pub forum to fiction stories only.

These stories get the lonely AN guys excited, I can hear the deep breathing from here.

Back in the 80s/90s topless Thai women on the beach in Pattaya were nothing unusual.

And western women.

especially on the southern islands.

i think camera phones have made it a lot less popular.

Not many g-strings before, now every second fat western woman has her arse hanging out.

Not quite on topic but it's illegal not to wear underwear in public.

A frequently promulgated myth...unless you can quote the Section of the Thai Criminal Code that covers it.

Good that you asked, a lot of tourists and even long time expats don't take the time to understand Thai Culture and act appropriately when in country.

There are quite a few things about Thai culture, that once understood, can make a visit and long term stay quite a lot more enjoyable.

Thai people are generally quite modest when it comes to nudity. Aside from the odd stripper and Tik Tok girl, most all Thai women would never even where a bikini on a beach here let alone go topless. Go to Pattaya or Jomtien beaches on the weekend and there are loads of Thais. Observe: Most all the women and girls where full t-shirts and regular shorts in the water. They don't even wear one piece bathing suites. Compare that to the Russians women, some of the large and rolly pollys wear bikinis LOL! it's a site you cannot un-see!

Topless woman illegal of course.

As a man you must not drive topless.

Or walk around in shopping malls topless.

What about the thai girls dancing on poles at the weekend fully nude and doing all sorts of party tricks?

Are they inadvertently (or deliberately) disregarding their own culture?

While not explicitly illegal, going topless in public in Thailand is considered highly inappropriate and disrespectful to Thai culture, potentially leading to unwanted attention or even legal trouble.

How can it lead to legal trouble if it isn't illegal?

Thai logic eh.

Here's a more detailed explanation:

  • Cultural Sensitivity:
Thai culture values modesty and decorum, and going topless in public is seen as a breach of these norms.
  • Potential for Trouble:
While there might not be a specific law against it, authorities or locals could react negatively, potentially leading to unwanted attention or even legal issues.
  • Focus on Beaches and Hotels:
While you might see topless women on some beaches, it's generally frowned upon in other public areas. It's best to stick to private areas like your hotel pool or beach if you wish to go topless.
  • Consider Driving Laws:
It's also illegal to drive a car in Thailand shirtless.

In recent years, not too long ago....

There were topless women building temples in CM.

a. Farang, tattooed women should be banned from the beach, if topless.

b. Burmese women, if topless, are completely OK.

================

Those Burmese jugs were udder perfection.

The black and white photo is available, and miraculous.

True beauty and purity.

If they were that big she could possible claim "life saving devices" for swimming.

They were a fair size.

Like I said, I almost went over to give her a bit of the old Don Giovanni charm - but I thought better not and went for a beer instead.

Impressive. You must be quite ambidextrous to be able to manage that all by yourself, The Bob.

In neighboring Laos back in the 90's topless Laotian women were seen freely walking around the villages working or carrying their kids in the eastern highland areas.

Well that's extremely helpful to 'the topless on the beach' topic.

A female did it for me.

Never had one of those yet?

Never mind, your time will come... (maybe).

What makes you an expert on Thai moral values? Prostitution has been part of Thai culture since before you were born.
