It was Australians who carried out the majority of the cave rescue  and were honored by The Thailand Government for a job well done . Sadly a Thai diver lost his life during the 100% successful rescue .

Most people can survive weeks without food. Hydration is essential and if no other supply, urine can be drunk safely. It is mainly water.

The divers who discovered the boys were british experts at cave rescue, The doctor who worked out actually how to get them out of the cave was Australian which was brilliant, but he expected some losses.

On July 8, 2018, a rescue team made up of 13 international cave divers and five Thai Navy SEALs made their way to the group to help them get out of the cave. Brits Volanthen, Stanton, Jason Mallinson and Chris Jewell, and Australian divers Richard Harris and Craig Challen led the mission.Sep 23, 2565 BE

I"ve been past the site a few times and it's really busy....the removal of rubble is slow work....picking off heavy concrete elements is difficult and there's always the danger of creating slips.

In the Christchurch earthquake of 2011 the last survivor was found the next day. After that it was just body recovery. Given the heat in Bangkok trapped survivors without water would be unlikely to last 3 days

Do you know how long you can survive without any drinks laying under the debris and who knows how injured they are??? Apparently not... and you don't read the news too that there is very heavy smell of decomposing  If you see the pic there are not many rooms where the hide..... But I will believe you as an expert .... all 16 will be fit and healthy rescued....

And that's the word of our local expert, folks. And now the facts. History shows us that people can in fact survive for a week, sometimes longer.
