Jesus Christ...

Outside areas covered in concrete.  Canals filled with trash.  The only place you'll see much nature is in a park that is maintained by some sort of authority.

Am I wrong?

WOW! Now all was wrong with Asians again. Good job of you on a Monday. Wonder what more slur you have to throw on the people in the continent you choose to live? Have you looked at national parks, zoo´s, city parks forestry and more. Do you also know how much of the Thais that are out in forest and fields picking eatable things?

No, you don´t have a clue, as you just se 2-3 trees, and all are bad again.

If some didn't care and set aside acreage for parks and wildlife, there wouldn't be an animal left in Thailand.

Simple economics.  The place I stayed in Galveston had about a dozen palm trees that needed trimming.  If we called in a tree guy, they'd scalp them back to a single frond or 2 and that would cost $50 per tree and last for about a year.  But they'd look horrible for 6 months or so.

I ended up buying a chainsaw on a long pole and trimmed them back every month to a decent looking configuration.  Had we hired the guys to do that, 12 trees x $50 x 12 months a year would have been $7,200 a year just to trim the palm trees.

The numbers may be different in Thailand, but the concept is the same.  And Thais are big fans of low taxes and saving money...

no this is really a thing. Of course it's not everyone but I see way too much concrete and dirt where it doesn't need to be. It's harder here to keep gardens though because they can explode in jungles very easily.

Ever see the houses where they concrete over everything and let it bake in the sun? Looks miserable to me but many people do this because it's easier to maintain.

A good point.  It's probably a lot harder to have a nice lawn in SEA.  They don't seem to have the same kind of grass we have in the West.  You do often see these kind of pot-plant gardens.

People eat in their car and then throw it out the window as they drive. The sides of the roads are covered with trash.

Then there's illegal dumping. People just stop off here and throw full bags of trash on the side of the of forest.

There's clearly a problem with littering here and people not respecting nature.

Assuming I'm some kind of invalid again, when I could run rings around you in any sport, contest or spelling bee. Older people aren't always weak little man, so try and get out more, and see for yourself, and don't lump everyone older than you into one category, because you'd be amazed just how much stronger some are. My sexy ex met max? If you're going to attempt English, use a better translator.

You literally have no idea what you are talking about.  What I wrote is true.  In SEA, you will hardly ever see a lawn in a garden.  They prefer to concrete things over.

As that shows that they like nature?  Ridiculous, as usual.

Nope, you don't have a clue.  You see a few parks, and assume it means Thais like nature.  Why do you think they are made?  Becasue they wouldn't be there otherwise.  Think about it.

You obviously live in one of the concrete jungles and have not been out of it to appreciate the vast countryside and the many leafy villages around.

So, because there are trees in the countryside it shows that SEA people really do like and preserve nature?  Have a think about that for a second.  🤦‍♂️

Oh, sorry, It was taken from a disco song and altered a little bit. when did I lump everyone for being older? When did I talk about strength? What I did was making same stupid reply as you did. So, there are no animals left in Thailand? Why does people get hurt by elephants and gaurs then? What about all the snakes that turn up in gardens all the time? What about all the roaming dogs and cats on the streets. Why are they not eradicated, if it is like you say? Niether of the examples comes from zoo´s or reservations where people take care. This was just a few examples. There are much more.

Why not take a second to read the whole of my comment.

I read the whole of your comment.  It doesn't make sense.  There being more greenery in places where there is already naturally masses of greenery doesn't help your argument.  Nothing about my original comment suggests that I believe that people in SEA are going to be concreting the entire countryside.  And the fact that they don't doesn't mean they like nature or are trying to preserve it.

Like I said, read my whole comment. You've only commented on half of it.

I'm not sure why you'd suggest there being an arguement. There isn't one. Certainly not when you only acknowledge half of my comment.

You don't know what argument means in this context.

Try reading past the word " countryside" in my original comment, and comment on that bit too.

I fully understand the context.

so many Thai people are living in stuffy little concrete boxes and think this is just fine. Why walk under a nice shady tree outside when you could be sitting on the floor in your condo? something like that...

So many people, Thai and otherwise, don't care where they sit, how uncomfortable it is, or what the view looks like, as long as they have a Wi-fi connection.

Ok, you seem to have a certain standard here. Why don´t you share what you think that the people in this country, where you are a guest, should do to meet your view of loving nature?
