Thailand Requires Digital Arrival Card Submission 3 Days Before Entry starting May 1

Singapore has a similar scheme..once you submitted your arrival details they will email you confirmation..

When you landed in Singapore you just go through the e-gates...you don't have to show QR code or Q up for immigration..

Some people DO have difficulties filling out on-line forms.

I know I hate doing so, because they are so very often poorly designed, and normally requires too much trial and error fiddling around.

Also, I only use Linux.

And, I only use open-source browsers with no spyware.

Like with the TM6 form, any address will do.  Just the hotel name and city should be fine.

make a print screen of the QR code and finished.

previous you filled in the paper one and did that in the airplane.

now you can do it on your computer.

and a bit later there will be an app where you can store all your info, only need to update the arrival and departure date and finished.

 

why make so much fuzz about something so simple

- I think requiring it to be filled in a minimum of 3 days before arrival could raise all sorts of practical problem - not least people who didn't know and turn up a Suvarnabhumi without.

the old system of cards would allow you to fill your card in at a bench in the airport itself.

 

I'm sure there will be many people whose travel arrangements change at last minute - altered flights, different hotels - a lot can happen in 3 days.

 

It sounds like a recipe for disaster.

so I put it in my electronic agenda on my phone to warm me 3 calandar days based on THAI time to fill in the website.

but yes you are right, most people dont prepare their trip decent.

As has already been mentioned, you can fill it in at the airport in Bangkok after you've arrived if you have to, just like the TM6 form.

Catch me up here...  The last time I tried their website, it was blocked here in China.  I don't know on which end...  But I can't find the link in my history. 

 

Has anyone posted the link in the past 5 pages?  I'm too discouraged to read through so many Thai bashes.

Do a dummy run on the website and all will be revealed.  Hint - look for what arrival dates can be selected.

ow but then you need tto think about bring a pen with you in the airplane.

and what I have noticed is that at least 30% of the people in the plane dont have a pen.
dont know what to fill in.

and even not fill it in at all and just goto the passport control to see what happens.

Yes - it is a symptom of ALL Thai authorities web site that they are badly designed, ill-thoght out and often grossly unreliable.

I get the impression that when a site is needed some nabob tells everyone that his son is an IT wizzard and can build the web site for them - the inevitable result of nepotism is a site built by someone who just hasn't the skills to do it.

Brits get 45 days visa waiver on arrival.

And it's a better destination for most tourists.

AU needs $50 visa, but no digital arrival card to fill in. VN is 30% cheaper than TH.
