Thanks for sharing. Great trip down memory lane. I was living in Santa Monica... The 70s and 80s I. America were awesome

Those bikes are one speed Schwinn that we made 5 speed and added brakes .... first drum brakes !   Then went to caliper .

 

A few years later the alloy frames started to be made by small entrepenuers.   I used to peddle that heavy Schwinn up the mountain .  ( sometimes  haha ).   Other times we would bring them up in a truck and ride the horse trails down
