Another classic.  18 hours sitting in the car.  Go to the temple and put money in a coffin.  Look at beach which took 10 minutes before they were back in the car.  We went to the land and that is hottest I have ever felt in my life.  Deeply unpleasent.  Back in the car and time to wipe the sweat off myself.  The women look like supermodels.  Not a bead of sweat on them.  Disgusting food as always.  At the resturant, I asked for fish and chip and they said no they don't have it.

Great, I've stayed in at home alone everyday.

Read a few books, watched Callan TV series, played Civilisation VI.

Wife and son cleared off on the bus to Nakon Nowhere to see granny.

The 'extended family' were supposed to stop by, then it was into CM by the moat, for water fights. Damp morning, followed by rain at 1300  killed that, Heh. A relaxing, Songkran, rain pattering on the awnings, reading the kindle, with Sinatra flac files, on the DAP, playing in the background.

... ask me next month, as planning about a 10 day O&A.  Southward, Phang Nga & Krabi areas, so far.  Pit stop at Surat Thani, as like to keep the 1st day under 5 hrs, then 1 - 2 - 3 hrs stretches of driving afterward.

I don't know yet, i'm planning to go Indonesia again.. anybody had a recommendations place to visit? I did visit these attractions  Jakarta City, Mount Batur tthis helps us my guide but I was planning on going to Bali for summer.... any advice? 😃

Just realized most people on here have never done a day's work in their lives.  The concept of a vacation is lost.

If it appeals to you, the dance shows in Ubud are the best such thing I have ever seen. The music is super influential. Lots of the minimalists copped from them. It's like seeing the Balinese Beatles with the cast from Grease. Astonishing costumes.

 

I'm going to Sulawesi for 3 weeks. And a week in Jakarta, which gets a bad rap. I don't love Indo food, but the chance to eat it at the high end will be great. Upscale Chinese is about a quarter off BKK prices too. I have Mongolia on a tour coming up soon too.
