AN is going down the drain
Hate is a bit strong but a lot of them are loud and obnoxious. I don't see any motorcyclist adding to this thread? There used to be more. -

Budgeting for insurance as we age
I currently pay 126k baht annually for coverage for my wife and myself. I am 67 and she is 57. With the milestone of 70 soon approaching will I see a step change in my annual premium at 70 or should I just expect a normal annual increase? -

Has anyone used Friendly Thai Visa’s airport safe entry service? Only real experiences plz
No, they just want a payoff into their own pocket if you come "too long / often" on tourist-entries. They know you would not have the money for air-tickets / travel or living here at all, if you didn't have the means to support yourself, as there is no welfare here for foreigners. It's the same reason they let agents "help" people skip the financial-requirements for retirement extensions for an agent-payoff. There is literally no downside for Thailand when people from higher-income / wage countries stay more-often / longer here. -

7/11 chicks
You have well over 8k posts in just a few months. Your posts certainly get the AN members thinking. You are ringing the bell for sure. At one of our local 7/11 the ladies average around 8. at the other, in the north of the town, they are closer to 9. I don't go into the third for personal reasons. And you are right to ask the AN members. Why did you come here if you don't like women? Obviously many like the LBs. Others do genuinely like temples, and some came here for the great fishing. But most come because the ladies are nocturnally generous and accommodating. Keep up the good work HF. -

Report Thailand Tightens Rules for Foreign Drivers: Tests Now Mandatory
Its really difficult to understand the thought process of the Thai authorities, the Thai people not unlike several other south east countries are generally terrible drivers. In Singapore the driving standards are quite good so it really comes down to education & discipline which Thailand severely lacks. I have said this many times, corruption is Thailands achilles heel and until they can address this they will always remain a third world country with third world practices, driving no exception! The real problem is those with position and / or money use the corrupt system to better their financial status and the rest of the populous suffers. So why bother making legal changes to the driving licence test when its only going to be enforced when the authorities feel like it and if there is a monetary benefit then they will look the other way, nothing will really change. Most Farang's in their respective countries have to sit a written & oral test and when passed then its a driving test which also requires a pass. When I got my Thai license we had to watch a movie, I was the only Farang 20 minutes into the movie that wasn't asleep!I
