Reporting a missing child of 11 years or under is a high priority. Reporting a missing 26 year old baby adult is not. What a waste of resources.  Looking at his appearance, he coulld go far with his good looks but instead likes to play the family issues victim.

Good looks???? Hasn't he got facial hair?

So are you saying that anyone with facial hair is not good looking?

Prince William? Harry Styles?

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have both grown beards for an upcoming film. Does that make them less handsome.

I personally had one in the 70s and early 80s but still pulled plenty of birds! 555

I understand getting these saddo emo's as facial hair is so fashionable just now. I remember when I was a young guy, short hair was fashionable on girls. (lezzie style. Sheena Easton) I did not have so much a choice then as I always preferred girls with long hair.

Yes, I get you. But round about that time and even up till the late nineties when I was in my prime I never remember any girls who liked men with facial hair. Different today obviously.

This is just weird, his family could be toxic for all you know, jumping to assumptions. If he wants no contact with his family then that's his choice he's 26 and not asking for anything and probably annoyed at being tracked down by the police for no reason

I thought it was strange when I seen that the original plea for information of Facebook a couple of days ago was made by his aunt and not his parents?  As you say, people should not judge him as you never know what is going/has gone on in his personal life.

When I was in my late teens, I had a former school friend whose parents were going through a divorce.  He got so fed up of being piggy in the middle with them continually bitching to him about each other that he waited until he got his grant for university, left the country and ended up working on a kibbutz in Israel to get some peace.

I cut my mother out for the best part of a decade, and it was the best thing to do for our relationship. We are now closer than ever and talk daily. Sometimes, space is needed for both parties to reflect on their part in the issues and finally listen to each other.

Maybe he is reluctant to speak with the police is caused by his choice of bed partner :whistling:

How does one tell the parents his new mate leaves the toilet seat up also  :shock1:

Sounds a decent bloke letting his family worry their guts out ,, let’s hope he gets a good welcome when he gets booted out

26yo adult. Can do what he likes.

A mature 26 year old would tell family and friends he intended to disappear for a while, thereby not causing concerns, and not wasting police/rescuers time. This 26 year old has a lot of growing up to do.

Some parents are control freaks. Want contact weekly.

The proper thing for him to do abroad would have been to send them a text/sms and say your fine,  you need some time alone, you'll be in contact at a later date, don't contact me or worry further.

Sure, the guy might not be very social, and might not like his family. That could be seen as bad behavior. Sure! Still does not take away his freedom to chose as an adult.

True, then cause stress/worry to family and friends, then get many authorities involved, this kid should not be allowed to travel alone, completely irresponsible, childish behaviour, not the actions of a responsible person... Truely showing the fact that the human brain does not, on an average, mature until 25, some take longer, one day you might reach that level.

26 not 16... could be a dropshipping millionaire, lottery winner, just have a remote job etc. He could be on a DTV. You have no idea of his situation.

Agreed,

There, again, he just might be a self-important, entitled, spoilt <deleted>.

Where does it say he has no money, for all we know at 26 he's got a trust fund, or had a huge inheritance.

It does say he is welsh so he's probably been running a driveway tarmacking scam or ripping off pensioners for bogus home repairs

Sounds like a control freak at home he wants to get free from and wanted some time to think a chill out.

Maybe his family wants him to get a life, get a job and be able to support himself. If he was in America, he would had been kicked out of the house long time ago.
