ryandb Posted April 16 Posted April 16 saw this last night, was waiting for the elbow, don't <deleted> around in Thailand even at 6'2+ there's a good chance you'll get <deleted> up even if it's only a leg kick warning shot.
Harrisfan Posted April 16 Posted April 16 The farang was taunting the Thai guy for ages. Hang around the barber shop long enough sooner or later you get a haircut. 2

However street justice is swift and efficient. If you behave and don't try to be a smartass, then the bar staff and security will leave you alone. If you get drunk and dispute the bill, you may get a problem. If you pay the bill they will leave you alone. If you want to be a smart ass and cause problems then you will probably get what you deserve, as happened in this case. I have NO sympathy for him at all. 3 1 1

ChockyTheCat Posted April 16 Posted April 16 He was an idiot but very lucky to get out of there alive, once a group of Thais get you on the ground and everyone joins in , they don’t usually stop until you’re dead ! 2
Taboo2 Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I blame the lime green Man Purse....he deserved the ass whipping just for wearing that B***h bag. 2
Popular Post BexMan Posted April 16 Popular Post Posted April 16 When a security guard takes off his jacket, you have a good idea what’s coming next. Fair dues to the woman in Pink, she tried several times to defuse the situation. 3
parafareno Posted April 16 Posted April 16 i think the biggest bitch was the silver hair thai ass, who attacked when others attacked....thais always attack in groups...there is no 1 on 1 fight....that silver hair guy is the weakest girl i have ever seen and the drunk forgot that Thais cant hold their anger for long...they just explode

You think he deserved a battering for very little other than goading people in the street (who appeared to have made a circle around him to goad him in return)? justice noun (FAIRNESS) fairness in the way people are dealt with: 1

jvs Posted April 16 Posted April 16 3 hours ago, thesetat said: He acted that way. So this gives the security the right to assault him and the crowd to beat him down? Seriously? I am sure there have been times when you acted like a D as well. Perhaps, you should have been jumped as well? So, he picked up a girl in play and she hit the aircon above. Simple to happen no deliberately. So he was loud. Obnoxious. He was drunk.. Perhaps every time you get drunk and do something stupid the crowd near you should attack and beat you down... The only lesson learned here is that the security still have not been trained to manage incidents without violence. And that you would have been one in the crowd that jumped the guy. No i have never acted this way, been in a number of fights but was never the aggressor.

I did try my doctors surgery, parents evening at my kids school and at the driving test centre but none had quite the ambience of a Pattaya bar with scowling customers asking " Did you spill my pint - are you looking at my bird?" . But each to their own if you prefer the former venues… 2
Popular Post FruitPudding Posted April 16 Popular Post Posted April 16 Let's be honest guys, where else would you see such primitive behaviour? Imagine that happening in a western country? Random waitresses, bar staff, security, random bystanders, passersby, some taxi drivers perhaps, or whoever etc. etc. all coming out of the woodwork together for a good auld head kicking on someone who really posed no actual threat to anyone - especially once he was put down with the first punch - but he was all bark and no bite anyway throughout the whole video. Things like that happen in prison, gang culture, or football hooligan culture in the West......but for ordinary civilians to do this?? 😆 🤣 😂 It's wild! 1 2

While I don't disagree, it's not the job of security to fight people in the streets, even if they're being goaded, and it's not right for everyone to storm in and try to stomp the guy.
Baba Naba Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Go ahead! Mess around and see what happens! Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it, and maybe more than you can chew! 555!!! 1

factual monk Posted April 16 Posted April 16 First you are drunk... Secondly, it's not your turf... Thirdly, even your slightest misdeeds in a bar will get added on to prove you guilty in case the matter goes to police. Fourthly, enjoy your booze, music, have fun... their is no need to prove your masculinity...

The thing is, we actually like this, or at least the environment that led to it. While this is the bad side, the positive side is that Thais get on really well with each other, support and cooperate easily, and there is sweeping societal harmony and trust as a result. If it wasn't like this, people would probably not come to Thailand anywhere near as much as they do. We enjoy the positive side, but know to tread lightly to avoid the negative.

sambum Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Having watched the video - "Som nam na" springs to mind - but once again the majority of Thai waited until the guy was on the ground befoer they began to get stuck in. Having said that - the foreigner ceratinly aske for a bit of "come uppance"! (P.S. Can't be British or it would have said so 🙂 - Eastern Europeans maybe?)
