Thailand still live in the 19th century with their thoughts, outdated laws, conservatism... It is all a part of the cultural heritage, look how they hold on on Thai costumes with every opportunity... But the costumes they wear were only for the richer people. and dildo's in their money box.. Now it seems that in Thailand the 60't of the 20th century are coming in... Sexual revolution, with sex toys, topless dancing, sex in the streets... People are desperate waiting for chances but the Government want to keep everything unchanged, unless it is about mobiles, TV's , holidays, and luxury goods....to show how they entered the modern world, but in the real life, the laws and punishments are still outdated..  Best example is the section 112 law, the alcohol laws, and now vaping as smoking cigarettes is no problem....Thailand is indeed a country but with on every corner sex available so in fact it is one big city
