Many of the so called “farangs supporting thai women and their children” are these types who cause the problems.

And they think “Thailand” owes them. They should be grateful for having a Thai woman.

Terrible attitude. It appears these two also had Thai women

Seeing you think many of the farangs supporting families here are the types those causing problems, can you show me at least one or two instances of this? Tourists, some, yes, residents no. Much of the problems foreigners experience here are started by wives or girlfriends who try to get over on them. Thailand owes all those living here a good safe life, just as all countries governments do. People complain for a reason, as complaining is the only way bad things stop.

Am I watching another video than everyone else? I see the locals as the ones who threw the first punches. First the bike rider and then later the mob.

But yet, it seems the theme is to blame the foreigners.

There's a reason i don't go there for 13 years.I feel much safer in Bangkok and hua-hin.I never make any problems but we never know who we can meet in the streets or in a bar.Not all going out for a good time.

We never get the tourists side of the story.

Also, we don't know if they were drunk, no tests done, only APPEARED to be drunk.

Two foreign nationals have been fined following a drunken altercation with a Thai national motorcycle rider in Pattaya, which escalated into a street brawl.

The incident occurred when a delivery rider, was en route to deliver an order. A car, driven by two foreign men, reportedly grazed his motorcycle without causing a collision. Witnesses stated that the visibly intoxicated foreigners then threw a bag of rubbish from their vehicle, which struck the rider.

The rider approached the car, sounding his horn to confront the men about their behaviour. In response, one of the foreigners opened the car door and began shouting abuse. The driver soon joined in, leading to a heated verbal exchange.

The situation quickly turned violent, with both foreigners allegedly assaulting the 44-year-old rider, who sustained bruises and other minor injuries. Throughout the altercation, the men reportedly hurled insults at Thai people, despite the efforts of a Thai woman who tried to intervene.

As the fracas unfolded outside a convenience store, several bystanders, angered by the foreigners’ disrespectful behaviour, stepped in to assist the rider. Witnesses said the crowd retaliated, pushing and striking the tourists, who eventually fled into the shop seeking refuge.

Police from Pattaya City Police Station soon arrived at the scene. The foreigners, fearing for their safety, sought protection from officers and accused local residents of stealing their mobile phone.

Authorities successfully defused the situation and escorted all involved parties to the police station. The two tourists, whose names and nationality was not disclosed by authorities, were fined for disorderly conduct and agreed to pay 15,000 baht in compensation to the injured rider before being released.

Officials confirmed that no serious injuries were reported and that the case was resolved amicably without further escalation.

So that will be 5,000 to the motor bike rider and 10,000 to the corrupt police then 🤷🏼

These tourists that come here and behave like this ,need to realise they are guests

here ,and are not privileged in any way , I have lived here ,without problems for 38 years,

and I am still just a guest , the behaviour of these tourists ,plus others who cause

problems though their bad behaviour ,could cause problems for us that just want

to live here and have a peaceful life.

According to the Thaiger website they're Brits.

They perhaps have a “British“ passport but don't sound very British to me.

Smart how these Thai police work.

Sort it out immediately, no need for lawyer and court costs and the victim gets compensated.

Very clever these Thai people.

Unfortunately the lack of detterant and example allows other tourists to act embolded.

In Dubai you would dare not behave this way.

15,000 baht fine is an utter joke.

What example does this set?

No criminal record, no deportation, nothing. Just pay 15,000 and carry on.

Even the drink driving ... was anything done for that ?

Criminal record for what exactly, DonniePeverley? They certainly didn't throw the first punch.

If they were drunk, then why weren't they punished for that? Likely because they were not.

What I see is one of them trying to discourage the rider from fighting. But the rider insisted on throwing a punch.

There is no attempt analysis of the event at all, just the usual baying and hatred against foreigners....who are you, but younger.

I thought they sounded Brit but didn’t want to be accused of bigotry again by the usual suspect.

Their spoken English makes it obvious they are not Oxford or Cambridge students.

Probably graduated from some other school.

Nobody charged for DUI ???   Amazing Thailand.   They should advertise this internationally - “drink & drive Thailand”
