I do not see the problem here other than scaring the people unfortunate enough to have witnessed them without clothing.

Phuket needs to segregate a section of beach and make it for nudism since this seems to be trending there lately. How else can these foreigners expose themselves without netizens complaining?

Thailand's image as a sun-soaked haven was marred once again after a pair of Polish tourists were caught embracing and sunbathing completely nude on Koh Pha Ngan, sparking outrage among locals. The incident, occurring today, has intensified demands for stricter measures against unruly tourist conduct as the nudist escapade unfolded before bewildered onlookers and involved police intervention.

The couple, identified as Mr Michal, 27, and Ms Claudia, 24, stunned passers-by when spotted standing unabashedly nude on a public road, seemingly heedless of traffic. Their audacious display prompted locals to notify authorities, who engaged police forces that soon arrived to confront the brazen tourists.

Yet, the couple's exhibitionist antics continued shortly after, as they lounged naked on Ban Kai Beach, astonishing families enjoying the sunshine. Authorities swiftly instructed them to cover up, arresting the individuals under Thai law forbidding public indecency.

Transported to Koh Pha Ngan Police Station, the couple now face charges of public obscenity. However, their escapade is not an isolated incident, as similar tourist misbehaviour has left locals increasingly fed up. The episode underlines a growing impatience in Thailand, urging bolstered action to preserve the area's cultural and communal sanctity against such egregious tourist conduct.

Easy; change the law. Nudity in public is followed by detention and a hefty fine.

They would need to setup bleachers (stands) for all the Thai gawkers who would be filing their grievances online while fixated on the private parts of farangs.  It would be a sight to see.

A clash of culture maybe. Satire helps.

(Insert your Western country here) image as a sun-soaked haven was marred once again after a pair of Arab tourists were caught sunbathing completely covered up on the Riviera, sparking outrage among locals. The incident, occurring today, has intensified demands for stricter measures against unruly Arabic tourist conduct as the fully covered escapade unfolded before bewildered onlookers and involved police intervention.

The couple, identified as Ms Aaliyah, 27, and Ms Fatima, 24, stunned passers-by when they were spotted standing unabashedly covered head to foot in Burqas on a public road, seemingly heedless of traffic. Their audacious display prompted locals to notify authorities, who engaged police forces that soon arrived to confront the brazen tourists.

Utter rubbish! I remember 30 years ago seeing fat naked Germans at Patong, served food and beer by locals, and served other things too.

Only fat Germans? Americans are usually the fattest, but, normally not so naked...

Puritanical virtue-signalling drivel - laughable !!.

This "culture" you're banging on about… is that the one paraded on every third-rate TV soap-opera soaked in melodrama, gun crime, and cheap sex and cheating ?...

.... Or is it the spectacle of half-naked dancers humping the stage at every bargain-bin Morlam gig in front of toddlers?

Maybe it's the tradition of being bent over behind the beer fridge at the back of some grotty Soi bar?

.... the sacred nightly ritual of grinding for sweaty banknotes in every grimy "gentlemen’s" club from Chiang Mai to Chonburi?

... getting shagged silly at every soapy ???

Yes - Thai culture, real Thai culture, absolutely deserves respect.

But don’t insult it by hiding behind it while peddling media-manufactured outrage.

The faux indignation - yours included - stinks of performative hypocrisy. Keep the sanctimony.

Now we are there again with hypocrisy and sanctimony. Your usual vocabulary, Richard. However, it doesn´t matter to me. You can post what you want. I will still have the opinion, that all that post like you to bring out the worst of Thailand, can just look for better places to stay, where they fit much better. Thailand has always been like you describe it, and that´s why many members of this forums old guard came here to start with. The famous bar scene and the easy sex. However, it has never been ok to engage in such acts or even stand kiss each other in public. That´s how the culture is built, and all that can´t grasp that or accept it, does not belong here. so, just keep on posting about everything you find weird or disgraceful and wrong. Up to you. That´s how things work here, and that´s how it always worked.
