Phuket City Police officers received widespread praise for their prompt and resourceful response to a chaotic three-car collision that occurred on Thepkrasattri Road, outside the Bank of Ayudhya branch in Ratsada, on April 28. The accident, which happened around 2pm, caused significant traffic disruption by blocking a northbound lane and bringing traffic to a standstill.

Alerted by a concerned local resident, the officers quickly arrived on the scene. They methodically documented the accident by photographing the damaged vehicles and efficiently moved the wrecks to clear the road, restoring traffic flow without delay.

However, the clean-up required more than just moving vehicles. With shattered car parts strewn across the road and an oil slick posing an additional hazard, the officers took proactive steps to ensure the safety of other motorists. Demonstrating remarkable initiative, one officer borrowed a broom and dustpan from nearby residents to sweep away debris. Meanwhile, two other officers used hoes to spread sand over the oil, reducing the risk of further accidents. The fourth officer managed traffic, ensuring all vehicles navigated past the scene safely.

The public response was overwhelmingly positive. Motorists and bystanders lauded the officers for their efficient and practical approach, which highlighted their commitment to maintaining public safety. "Proper job, lads!" remarked one appreciative driver, reflecting the general sentiment of those witnessing the scene.

This incident not only underscores the dedication of Phuket City Police in executing their duties promptly but also highlights the community spirit and cooperation between law enforcement and local residents. Their quick action on that day serves as a commendable example of effective community policing.

I think the people would praise the RTP much more if just were doing their job every day, examples.. blacksmoke cars, helmet wearing on motorcycles for safety, speeding tickets , alcohol tests, instead chasing vapers, tourists, and just like here incidentally cleaning the road...
