Jingthing Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago This concept of a topic was done before, but I think its time for a fresh up. Are you with me? The correct answer is yes. Dudes and Dudesses -- there are over 100 million youtube channels going! That means if you're a youtube user (who isn't) you're going to need to be selective or more likely let the mighty algorithm select for you. So really not looking for the most famous youtube sites here like Mr. Beast (389 million subscribers). Instead looking for channels that most of us probably never heard of. Let's confuse some algorithms out there together! (Why is this user who usually only watches cannabis review sites now looking at Albanian knitting videos?) 1 1
blaze master Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Not just bikes. So good. So informative. Also foresty forest. 1

Popular Post Jingthing Posted 13 hours ago Author Popular Post Posted 13 hours ago I'll start out this 2025 bucket of youtube fun with one of my favorites. kgb detected (only 10K subscribers) is a deliciously sarcastic site by an incognito Russian guy talking about life today in Putin's wartime Russia 1 1 1

I see a different channel than that. 1
Cameroni Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Terry Joel Junior. I swear to God he's a relationship savant. Never heard such deep content from a young guy. 1
Jingthing Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago This one has over 3 million subs but you still probably don't know it. Special Books by Special Kids The host goes around and interviews (mostly but not exclusively kids and their families) with all kinds of rare (often tragic) medical disorders, etc. Honestly I find the host overly cloying and kind of annoying, but I get why he has to act that way to try to bond with all these unusual people. 2
Jingthing Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago There are a number of these sort of "USA poverty porn" touring around channels but here's one of them. Joe & Nic's Road Trip Why do I watch this kind of content? Well, if I ever need to repatriate it might need to be to one of these kinds of backwaters. 1 1
StayinThailand2much Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Big fan now of "AntsCanada" (Canadian guy, singer, now living in SE Asia, creating biotopes in his house), "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert", "History Matters", and Lei's Real Talk (about China), just to name a few...
NorthernRyland Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Take a moment to view the very first YouTube video which just had its 25 year anniversary in April.

He did an interview once with The Jolly Heretic. I think that's the only time I've seen him long form. Lots of good stuff from J.H. too but he does his live interviews on other platforms as YouTube would certainly ban him. 1

I watched a few of his videos. It was good for a few laughs. It's hard to tell if he's acting and/or so desperate to put out any content to get clicks. He vacillates back and forth between "I love my wife and Thailand" to "I can't take another day here and will move to Spain."
Kinnock Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I use YouTube to find good music, as the mainstream popular muzak is just the pits. Been around a few years now - but Black Pumas are still my favourite .... 1
GanDoonToonPet Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Sabine Hossenfelder. An interesting, often humourous, take on the state of modern physics and how it intersects with modern culture.

Evil Penevil Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago The "Tasting History" channel features recreations of classic dishes from many time periods and countries. It always includes a lot of interesting background information.
daveAustin Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Colin Furze - Engineer/Inventor and Epic History are both good
GanDoonToonPet Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Pure Audits We've all surely heard of Auditors by now, along with the kings of UK auditors like AB, PTTP, Focus Pocus, and DJ Audits but this lesser known guy is my favourite. Often nicknamed the 'Frank Spencer' of auditors...it takes a wise man to play the fool 🤔
