Community Surprise Raid Uncovers Indian Hotel Party Near Pattaya

Authorities mounted an operation after residents lodged complaints about repeated loud and unauthorised parties at a local hotel, in Nong Prue area.

 

Mr. Phatcharapach Sritanyanon, Chief of Bang Lamung District, ordered the inspection following growing concerns from locals. The operation was led by Mr. Nathaphop Yomchinda, Deputy District Chief, accompanied by Pol. Lt. Col. Jamlong Jinpala of Nong Prue Police Station, Mr. Kittisak Monkaew from Pong Subdistrict Municipality, and supported by over 50 personnel from immigration, tourist police, and local administration forces.

 

The raid targeted Pattaya Mansion, located at 70/2 Moo 6, Nong Prue. Authorities had first sent in undercover officers to observe the situation, where they confirmed a raucous poolside party was underway. More than 200 foreign tourists, predominantly Indian nationals, were found swimming and drinking by the poolside, with loud music blaring throughout the venue.

 

 

The coordinated raid caught many attendees by surprise, causing chaos as officers entered. Once the situation was under control, officials began verifying identity documents, particularly of young women allegedly hired to entertain guests. Drug tests were also conducted, and no illegal substances or underage individuals were found.

 

Following the inspection, authorities reviewed the hotel’s operating licences and documents from tour guides responsible for bringing tourists to the venue, to ensure all were in full legal compliance.

 

The raid came in response to a wave of complaints from nearby residents who claimed the noise from nightly parties had disrupted their lives for over a month. Locals reported that the music made it impossible to sleep, prompting swift and decisive action from the district office.

 

Officials have since issued a stern reminder that all entertainment venues must adhere to laws regulating noise levels and operating permits. Any violations will be met with legal proceedings as per the rule of law.

 

Authorities also stated that they will continue monitoring and enforcing compliance to ensure the peace and well-being of residents is maintained.

Gosh!  Three departments, 50+ personnel, BMW smart cars, mounted cavalry, and a deflated blimp!

 

No drugs, no underage hookers, no visa violations, documents in order, no arrests.

 

Alternatively, they could have sent ONE police officer on a scooter to tell them to be quiet........

somehow those two don't quite mesh, unless you  consider one month to respond as "swift".

In a sane country, a cop on the beat would stop by and tell the party goers to turn the music down and keep it down. Do this on day one, not day 30. Don't need a whole raid and all that

And where does one find a comprehensive list of these laws? I have searched Google many times about opening hours, noise levels, public disturbance, but seem to get vague results.

Foreigners had a party!  And in Thailand, parties are illegal for foreigners.  No more foreigner birthday parties; no more foreigner Christmas parties; No more graduation parties; no vacation parties in Thailand for foreigners!  Bad foreigners - no parties for you!!!

 

So now foreigners having parties at a hotel is now "unauthorized."  When did we need authorization to have a party.
Dirty foreigners listen to loud music, drink by swimming pool, have fun at hotel.  The Thai public is SHOCKED!

I guarantee that on any given holiday weekend in our village, there are 200 Thais drinking and partying and playing loud music, often though speakers mounted on the back of pickup trucks that shake the ground a 1/2 a kilometer away.  It's never a problem.  But the Thai public and the Thai authorities just made this into a problem!  Think about it.

So if Indian Kon Keark or Kon Farang have a party at a hotel.  "They are loud, and obnoxious, and there is alcohol, they dare to have fun by the a swimming pool!!!  KICK THEM ALL OUT, DIRTY FOREIGNERS!!!

However, if these were Thai nationals, it would be a non-issue.  You know - just happy go-lucky smiling Thai people having fun in The Land Of Smiles. 


So The Solution?  15 to 20 flights a day to Vietnam!

It's past time to take vacations somewhere else where foreigners on vacation are allowed to have fun.
Thailand is no longer that place.  It just seems that all foreigners are simply unwelcome unless your here to quietly engage in a Buddhist retreat.

Just send your money to Thailand, and then book a vacation somewhere else.  Don't come here.  We don't want you.  Having fun is not allowed and if you dare to have fun you'll be treated like criminals.

If it was a typical Thai dance party, half the people there would have popped positive for drugs on pee tests.

Come on mate.. If the cops did not wait the month and gather evidence. They would not have been able to justify a waste of 50 cops being assigned to make the hotel turn down the music to a reasonable level. 

I bet those cops had a taste to catch some drugs and illegal tourists and the money they would have made from catching them. 

What a farce it turned out to be. The police should never have entered the party. I am most certain the hotel was paid to have a party at the pool with music. They should have intervened. 

It really sucks to be a tourist nowadays, with police stopping anyone anytime for no reason and demanding piss tests and searches and demanding your passport to prove you can be in Thailand.

Nowhere has that been reported to be the case...in this instance exactly the opposite of your bizarre claim turned out to be the case.

Generally 5 AM is start of any noise from loudspeakers especially from family parties/events.

A morning quiet until 6 AM is a relief.

For today's election there was two weeks campaigning with speakers on pickups.

Up and down all day.

Message: #1, #2, ..., #8 with some music mixed in.

It is a strange people as written.

Looking forward to two weeks in Pattaya enjoying quiet nights 😁
