Foreigners had a party!  And in Thailand, parties are illegal for foreigners.  No more foreigner birthday parties; no more foreigner Christmas parties; No more graduation parties; no vacation parties in Thailand for foreigners!  Bad foreigners - no parties for you!!!

So now foreigners having parties at a hotel is now "unauthorized."  When did we need authorization to have a party.
Dirty foreigners listen to loud music, drink by swimming pool, have fun at hotel.  The Thai public is SHOCKED!

I guarantee that on any given holiday weekend in our village, there are 200 Thais drinking and partying and playing loud music, often though speakers mounted on the back of pickup trucks that shake the ground a 1/2 a kilometer away.  It's never a problem.  But the Thai public and the Thai authorities just made this into a problem!  Think about it.

So if Indian Kon Keark or Kon Farang have a party at a hotel.  "They are loud, and obnoxious, and there is alcohol, they dare to have fun by the a swimming pool!!!  KICK THEM ALL OUT, DIRTY FOREIGNERS!!!

The raid came in response to a wave of complaints from nearby residents who claimed the noise from nightly parties had disrupted their lives for over a month. Locals reported that the music made it impossible to sleep, prompting swift and decisive action from the district office.

More than 200 foreign tourists, predominantly Indian nationals, were found swimming and drinking by the poolside, with loud music blaring throughout the venue.

However, if these were Thai nationals, it would be a non-issue.  You know - just happy go-lucky smiling Thai people having fun in The Land Of Smiles.

So The Solution?  15 to 20 flights a day to Vietnam!
GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!!!

Gosh!  Three departments, 50+ personnel, BMW smart cars, mounted cavalry, and a deflated blimp!

No drugs, no underage hookers, no visa violations, documents in order, no arrests.

Alternatively, they could have sent ONE police officer on a scooter to tell them to be quiet........

It's past time to take vacations somewhere else where foreigners on vacation are allowed to have fun.
Thailand is no longer that place.  It just seems that all foreigners are simply unwelcome unless your here to quietly engage in a Buddhist retreat.

Dear Foreign Tourists:
Just send your money to Thailand, and then book a vacation somewhere else.  Don't come here.  We don't want you.  Having fun is not allowed and if you dare to have fun you'll be treated like criminals.
Signed,
Thailand

All pomp and circumstance for nothing.  It's an excuse to prove RTP/Army do work (occasionally) and do exist.

If it was a typical Thai dance party, half the people there would have popped positive for drugs on pee tests.
Indian party with 200 people.  No drugs.  You'd think that would be the kind of people Thailand wants - drug free!

 "But they were drinking and having fun!!! BY THE POOL!!! That's not allowed in Thailand!!! GRRRRR" 🇹🇭

The Indians beating the Thais in making noise that kills your sleep. That means something.

Read that the Indian clubs on Walking Street set new levels of deafening noise.

Here in the village you might be the unlucky looser if there is some family party in the neighborhood with a stage built up.

Two story high speaker towers.

Windows shattering.

Until midnight is the norm.

It is and will always remain a "strange people".

The cacophony of Indian drums is enough to drive anybody nuts….loud and primitive drumming going on and on.

"Surprise raid?"  "Uncover"  it is no surprise it took the cops so long to get off their backsides and face some public... Uncover? Something as loud as a 747 is hardly hidden "...nightly parties had disrupted their lives for over a month. Locals reported that the music made it impossible to sleep, prompting swift and decisive action from the district office."

somehow those two don't quite mesh, unless you  consider one month to respond as "swift".

You seem to be assuming that the disturbances were reported to the police one month ago...something that wasn't claimed

Nowhere has that been reported to be the case...in this instance exactly the opposite of your bizarre claim turned out to be the case.

The authorities certainly lost Big Face there, They would have doing their best to find at least one under age drinker with a fake ID card,

Some start-up again at about 5-6 am don't they?

Generally 5 AM is start of any noise from loudspeakers especially from family parties/events.

A morning quiet until 6 AM is a relief.

For today's election there was two weeks campaigning with speakers on pickups.

Up and down all day.

Message: #1, #2, ..., #8 with some music mixed in.

It is a strange people as written.

Looking forward to two weeks in Pattaya enjoying quiet nights 😁

Who is hopefully fast enough to flee from the unhappy party mob?

Interrupting late night noisy parties might trigger resistance.

It has become so common to attack police nowadays
