The man's charges include inflicting harm on another's body or mind and causing property loss—a serious blot on his travel records.

Title said "violent assault". No mention of exactly what or against who.  Property loss too - what specifically? Very little detail. If he behaved badly then he deserves what he gets. Suspect, it may be a jilted lover who made the report to police. Would like to hear more detail and the conclusion of this "case".

Arrested based on allegations by whom I wonder.   Could possibly be a set-up instigated by a former partner. Be interesting to see how this develops.

These police must have sore backs after patting themselves on the back so much for a job we'll done! How difficult is it to arrest a foreign national attempting to leave the country after he has been identified, his name and passport details will appear on the manifest

He's now stamped out of the country as this arrest happened airside, they like to make maximum problems for anyone arrested in this way don't they.

The reason they do this, is because you are in no mans land, meaning you are in no way protected by domestic laws

Where are you from?   If you reply, "Thailand" you are too embarrassed to answer

It's called laziness, they should have just gone and arrested him if they wanted to arrest him.

No need for cloak and dagger operations.

Did they stamp him back in or will he now be charged with additional immigration related issues?

Yes, make the perpetrator the victim, idi@t:coffee1:

Sounds like another fool trying to escape.  Hope he gets what he deserves.

"Hope he gets what he deserves." That might apply to you one day

And what's your sample size?

It's obvious you haven't travelled to India or Saudi or........

I've met a few rude Aussies, I'm one of them 😂

The girlfriend keeps saying I'm rude in the bedroom.

"It's called laziness, they should have just gone and arrested him if they wanted to arrest him.","No need for cloak and dagger operations"  ... hmmm?   Maybe, just maybe, the Australian was smart enough to go into hiding after doing the crime. Stayed in a friend's house, never leaving the premises until the day he had to do the runner to the airport. The police rather than wasting time in a wild goose chase chose to wait patiently for the prey to come to them. The prey was trapped and no way to run. Good hunting, boys!!

Maybe, but it would have mentioned that in the article wouldn't it?

'another'.  ??    are you keeping Aussies captive in your backyard?   Are you observing and studying their behaviour?
