A deposit? That should have been a red flag. You never pay in advance.

Amateurs, lol

Sounds like they were all after giving a deposit. Eww. :bah:

so they were going to take one LB between them, well that wasn't going to end well was it, LB should just have given the money back and moved on, how simple would that have been

Yeah, people just like to complicate things, ..

Lady boys and Israelis fighting in the early hours. The Israelis knew what they were doing and now they will pay the bigger fine before returning to Israel. I'm sure their friends friends and family will be so proud of them after the Facebook posts.

Why do they not learn?

The moral to the story is twofold, one is unless you live there it's best to just avoid Pattaya altogether, as it appears to be the crime capital of Thailand.

Number two is if you're in Pattaya stay at least 10 to 20 meters away from any ladyboys, and do not engage them on any level.

I usually agree with you @spidermike007 but must say that:

1 I love my trips to Pattaya, have lots of adult fun there, but know how to behave to avoid antagonising others.

2 Correction - stay at least 100 to 200 meters away from any predatory "working gal" ladyboys. The ones who are not "on the game" are often nice people IME.

However, the transgender individual who accepted the deposit became wary due to the tourists’ apparent level of intoxication and insisted that another companion accompany her as a safety measure. The tourists subsequently changed their minds, withdrew from the arrangement, and demanded a refund of the deposit.

Even in their own version of the events the ladyboys were wrong by not refunding the "deposit" (wtf?? who pays a deposit for a beach road w****??). 3000 is way overpriced too unless "she" was going to take on multiple guys which is probably what was agreed upon initially. The more likely version of events is that she took the 1000, then tried to add on another ladyboy for extra cash at which point the tourists changed their minds, and instead of refunding the "deposit" she turned to violence.

Beach road ladyboys are insane and routinely involved in violence against foreigners. New story every time involving the same groups - and that's just what makes the headlines with countless episodes that don't. It's a mystery why police aren't doing more to clear them out for the safety of tourists.

Who swung first? They should have given the money back but hitting someone with a bottle is a major escalation. Fine her and jail him.

Have you not watched the video? The ladyboys were throwing bottles around all over the place. More likely the guy was hit by friendly fire.

Open air brothel full of sex tourists, prostitutes, deviants and transvestites, throw in booze and drug use and it's a place best avoided at any time.

Proton  I assume it's  the  afternoon English cream  teas at the 5 star hotels that attracted you to Thailand ?

And the police still can't find a prostitute even when they openly present themselves.  As prostitution is illegal in Thailand will these ladyboys be charged with soliciting?

Much of Thailand's crime is in urban areas where tourists congregate as they are easy targets, as well as where rampant prostitution and human trafficking feeds their vices. The prime areas of drug abuse are Bangkok, Phuket, and Pattaya, but not limited to these areas.

Not sure it's all the tourist precedent targets, often it's the tourists causing the problem.

Don't forget to wear a High Viz jacket and safety goggles as well.

On my first visit to Pattaya in '85 it became apparent that the beach and the sidewalk along it was best avoided after dark, if you wanted to avoid unwanted attention. It does look like the lighting has been improved there though since then.

This type of behavior happens in Pattaya and Phuket many times a week, who pays a deposit for services anyway. All this could have been avoided if the lb's returned the money, but many can't see a easy realistic way out and choose a ridiculous way out with no common sense.

Remember Clinton? He left a deposit and almost lost his job.

I remember Clinton Plaza in Bangkok, and the old Dollhouse up from Sukhumvit Soi 15.

It’s not uncommon for Israelis to flee with their tails between their legs when confronted one on one.

You are absolutely right!  One on one, the nerve of those Israelis!

Israelis are more used to fighting 1 vs 61, as there are 7.7 million Jews in Israel who are surrounded by 473 million Arabs.

They don’t fight one on one though. Dropping 2t bombs from planes on civilians is not exactly that. They got their back sides handed to them in Lebanon, remember? They can’t even take a small piece of land in Gaza because they need to go in one on one.
