not sure how it works for you - but so far we have been successful.

We once had a problem w/snakes but I taped a sign to the ledge of the step saying 'Ham Ngoo'- - and they stopped coming,

No, I meant lions and tigers 🙂  They never see each other because they live on different continents!

Not good - you will have nightmares in your next life/afterlife.  You think they are scary now, but after killing them, they WILL return.....

I have no animals in my house...  my cats deal with them before I even see them!

I have 19 cats.

Nothing lasts long when they are around.

Including the furniture

I'm not a Buddhist, but I don't like killing living things for no reason.

My current home (like many previous homes) has many holes in the structure that allow animals to come in....

I kill mosquitoes because they are annoying!

I kill large centipedes because their bite is very painful, (but I don't kill millipedes)

I kill cockroaches because I hate them!

I remove snakes, but I won't kill them, even if they are venomous

I remove scorpions in case I accidentally step on them (I did that before and it hurt!)

I remove tookay lizards because their poop is big and their voice is even bigger!

I try to remove geckos because they poop everywhere

I remove beetles, caterpillars etc, in case I squash them by accident

I don't remove or kill spiders, especially the huge wolf spiders. They're cute.

I remove any ladyboys or bar-girls, occasionally I kill them..... 🙂

How about you?

If the wild  rooster(crows all day)thats kept has a pet in my new neighbors farm flew over into my garden!

And by chance the chihuahua got loose

and escaped from my other neighbors car park came into my garden!

It won’t be pleasant for the pests!

Why would you want to kill a scorpion ?

I feel rather lucy when I see a scorpion and I would have removed it to its natural habitat.

Really no need to harm them .

Was you just showing off to your Wife to show to her that you are a real man ?

Thankfully we don't see scorpions here, but I very nearly stepped on this one at a field camp in Sumatra a few years back.

That is something that I've personally experienced and I still can't figure out how...... 🙂

A few years ago, when I was staying at a hotel in Naypyitaw (Burma), there were 3 tookay living behind my wardrobe and making an awful noise during the night.  I asked the hotel staff to remove them, thinking that since this is essentially a Buddhist country, the staff would catch the lizards and place them in the garden.

Not a chance! 6 staff arrived and proceeded to chase the poor animals around my room until they (the lizards, not the staff!), were beaten to death with brooms.....

Oh dear, not my plan at all 😞

Tokays usually live individually and its just Parents and children that live together , you are responsible for a tokay and her children's deaths .

They were there before you were

Even the Dalai Lama gave permission to kill pests and insects.

So no issue there.

Since when is the Dalai Lama the final arbiter on such matter?

That's kinda sad. Why don't you just put them in a container then throw them away.

I put this request for information already about hard skinned worm like creatures that inhabit my rooms. They are similar to garden worms but hard skinned; a bit similar to a long meal worm. Any suggestions?

The temp got a little cooler during the winter and that's when I had a battle with a Tokay Gecko trying to move into my house. Stubborn little beasts that's for sure.

Indeed.  I thought the staff would catch them alive.  I didn't expect Buddhists to beat the living daylights out of the poor critters...

That's a tapeworm from your intestines.  It crawls out your anus while you sleep.  Have you tried a buttplug?? 🙂
