Two Israeli embassy staff killed outside Washington DC Jewish museum

Live Updates: Slaying at Jewish Museum Was Targeted Antisemitic Violence, F.B.I. Says

The killing of two Israeli Embassy aides was condemned by U.S. officials. The suspect, from Chicago, had a history of pro-Palestinian activism, including a social media statement scheduled to post after the shooting.

A post on social media Wednesday night from an account that The New York Times verified belonged to the suspect condemned the Israeli and American governments, and what he called atrocities committed by the Israeli military against Palestinians.

Wow, that sounds like some of the pro-Palestine posts on AN.  Are you proud to be in such good company, gentlemen?

Further down on the NYT update page there's a short notice:

The suspect in the Israeli Embassy murders had protested for Palestinian rights.

Under the title “Escalate For Gaza, Bring The War Home,” the suspect, Elias Rodriguez, condemned what he called atrocities committed by the Israeli military against Palestinians. The post did not refer directly to the shooting on Wednesday evening, but it justified “armed action.”

So they were murdered for being suspected Jews or did the killer actually know about the embassy connection?

Both horrible but at least for the latter you can see a political motive.

The left is violent these days.

The sneezing part was a reference to the fact that anything and everything is labelled an act of antisemitic terror by Israel - and that's before any sort of investigation has even begun. Could it have been a robbery, plain and simple? Is that UN ambassador (or we, as it were) judge, jury and all the rest? That's not how legal systems work - all I'm saying.

You are delusional.   This was antisemitic for sure.

Virtue signalling <deleted>.The word was twit but with an an a for the i.

The youmg couple both worked at the embassy but only the man was an Israeli citizen.

It's looking like the killer was out to murder any random Jews not specifically Israeli officials.

I looked at a FB post about this. Most celebrated the killer as a hero.

This one maybe OK to send to El Salvador. Joking.

Another opinion piece which is worth reading, especially for those who consider themselves anti-Zionist but not antisemitic.   Unfortunately there have been social media posts from anti-Zionists which celebrate the murders of Lischinsky and Milgrim and laud Rodriguez as a hero.

How anti-Israel rhetoric led to the killing of 2 in Washington, DC

The suspected murderer marinated in violent, hateful slogans

If there was ever a time for reckoning in the anti-Israel movement, this is it.

The cold-blooded murder of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim in Washington, D.C., last night should mark the beginning of the end — preferably the end of the end — of the zombie belief that the only path to a “Free Palestine” is to abolish Israel.

Now we see where that eliminationist ideology can lead: to murder.

Condolences to family and friends of the victim's.

Hope the perpetrator goes to jail for life and no parole ever.

P.O.S.

Regardless of where it happened, it would likely be prosecuted federally.

Hopefully, they are executed before a leftist gets elected president and pardons him.

Does this fool think his actions will start a global intifada.

Was the guy on the radar as a bad actor?

No, it means he wanted to kill Israelis and that's exactly what he did, kill innocent Israelis

Exactly, I have been trying to come up with a nickname for that twit.

Expertly done, thanks.

Read the topic and stop the games, at least one was and they both worked for the Israeli Embassy and were due to marry soon, now both dead.

Far as I am concerned, a Jew that shoots a person yelling Free Palestine is defending himself. All Jews should arm themselves and get trained.

Do you think it might of been in response to the 50,000 plus killed in Gaza?

The left thinks Palestine should be free to kill as many Jews as they like, and Jews should be barred from retaliating.

Lame and disrespectful deflection for a barbaric act and the murder of these two people. There is never an excuse for this and it has made his cause worse.

Israel has had nuclear weapons for over fifty years and has never used them.

Iran, who supports Hamas/Palestine says they will use a nuclear bomb on Tel Aviv as soon as they get one.
