I was obviously talking about Ukraine's NEGOTIATING position that Trump was promising would happen and was setting the table for.

At the time of Trump's election, Ukraine was in a much STRONGER negotiating position than it is now. Because Trump completely messed this up. Kissing Putin's butt. Irrationally attacking Zelinsky. Giving Russia everything they wanted before talks even began. Dude -  Trump is basically working for Putin. I consider him a trator. Putin seeing 

Trump had conceded everything and Trump was never going to put pressure on Russia at all decided rationally, why talk, Trump is a weak poodle and I can get even more. 

 

As far as the moronic theory that the US getting closer to Russia will make Russia an enemy of China, not even worth talking about.

Only because of the Kursk Oblast incursion which has now collapsed entirely with only around 17 km² now held by Ukrainian forces which at the time of Trump's election victory was well over 1000 km².
