Hua Hin is elevating its safety measures in preparation for the next upcoming tourism seasons. Recognising the importance of immediate medical response, the Hua Hin/Cha-Am Tourism Business Association, led by President Kitipong Siripetchkasem, organised a comprehensive CPR and first aid training session.

The event, held at the Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin, was supported by Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin and aimed to equip local tourism stakeholders with life-saving skills.

Over 80 participants, including hotel owners, staff and tourism operators, engaged in both theoretical and practical sessions. The training covered essential techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and assistance for choking victims. Dr. Weerasak Pongphattanapan, Director of Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin, emphasised the significance of empowering non-medical personnel to act swiftly in emergencies, potentially saving lives before professional medical help arrives.

This initiative aligns with the objectives of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) to enhance public health awareness and preparedness. Participants who successfully completed the training received certification recognised by BDMS.

By prioritising safety and emergency preparedness, Hua Hin aims to provide a secure environment for all visitors, reinforcing its reputation as a premier tourist destination.
