Rubber Deposits On Tiled Driveway

Featured Replies

Anyone have any advice on removing rubber deposits - from car tires - from a tiled driveway?

Normal detergent type cleaners do not work so I think that i need some chemical that's specific to rubber stain removal.

Suggestions?

Did you try hydrogen peroxide; not the dental version but the real thing of higher percentage? As those tiles are outdoor, just make sure you have a fan blowing behind you in your direction to keep the fumes away which can be pretty unpleasant.

Pour hydrogen onto the spot and leave it for a moment to do its work; then a pressure washer (Kärcher etc.) would do the rest. Worthwhile trying.

Another possibility is WD40 (sold in large tins if necessary online). WD40 is a very useful tool to remove glued stickers on crockery and other sticky stuff - works wonders for me.

Thanks for the replies.  WD40 sounds like an easy option for a quick test.  I've even got some kicking around somewhere among the junk.

I use WD 40 to remove Rubber- and Oilspots in my Driveway.....works perfect!
