I personally know a few Thai ladies who complain that they get quoted stupid prices when they try and take a taxi home from work. that's in addition to the many reports I've read over the years of Thai people raising the issue of overcharging, refusal to use the meter or refusal to take them to their destination because "rot thit"
How would the evisa system know if you have permanent residence or not? Permanent residents can apply, but others cannot. Therefore it's an option because some people might qualify.
I know the *rules*. Thinking something to do with not annoying and trolling others that are trying to get some expert help. That's apparently beyond you.
