Correct, happens a lot. A couple of major busts were made in Thailand on info from the Aussie customs - pointless stopping them in Aus. as it only means a bit of a slap on the wrist, whereas in Thailand it means a long stay locked up - as it should be.

Only ever smoked a joint once in my life, in the UK, in my late teens. Pleasant, but nothing special. As far as my little spaced out world is concerned it is, indeed, little these days. I live quietly with my Thai wife. She is 70, I am 83. We were married in 1990 in Taiwan.  We travelled the world together on both business and pleasure, so it was not so little in those days.

Smugglers prevented from bringing 27 tonnes of cannabis into the UK in 2024

 

In 2024, 430 suspects were arrested at Heathrow Airport where 14,617kg of cannabis was seized.

 

The next worst affected airports were Manchester Airport, where around 135 arrests were made and 4,815kg of cannabis seized, and Birmingham Airport, where 40 arrests were made and 1,410kg cannabis seized.

 

Of the suspects, 460 were arrested having arrived from Thailand; 108 arriving from Canada and 63 arriving from the USA. The remainder had flown in from a variety of other countries.

Man that is one ugly dude!  If he wants to pass as a woman he should say that he's Portuguese, more likely to be believed.  I worked in a place with a guy who was transitioning, he said his fantasy was to be a bride: trousseau, big ceremony, all that.  He was not at all good looking, and when he did his drag the best he could do was Janet Reno (this was in the 1980s).  Poor b_stard.
