Buying favors': AOC sounds alarm on tech tycoons who captured Trump presidency

The words of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY): "Elon Musk dumped hundreds of millions of dollars into trying to buy the U.S. presidential election, and he is trying to recoup that investment by getting one of the largest tax cuts for billionaires in American history — which the Republican Party is trying to pay for through massive cuts to Medicaid, for Americans with disabilities, health care for the poor," she said.

The scene of tech CEOs like Musk, Amazon's Jeff Bezos, and Meta's Mark Zuckerberg sitting close to Trump at his inauguration, she continued, is "a moment in history personified."

"This is not just people buying favors," Ocasio-Cortez said, "This is about who controls this country, and everyone else is just a formality, and that is the worldview that we are up against right now.''

I dare say Steve Bannon may agree with her.

Yet Harris outspent Trump two to one.

Where were you when Zukerberg dumped half a billion to help Biden?

I hope AOC win the Democrat primary in '28.

The Harris campaign spent $1 Billion dollars and were in debt afterward.  If AOC runs for president, she'll end up doing the exact things that she is bi*ching about.  Just a bunch of hypocrites.  All this "Oliarchy" BS as she and Bernie fly around in private planes.  They are all scoundrels.

Both sides trotted out their own respective billionaires. The left is just in a hissy fit because theirs didn't win.

Me too, I hope she wins the 2028 primary just like Harris won the 2024 primary. It will be another blood bath for the Democrats.
