I live 25 km outside Surin, saw a lot of military vehicles on the road today heading for the border. I remember last time they had a go at each other I could hear the artillery from my house.

Are the Khmer invading Thailand?? 😟

 Just like days of old?

Reference Google-

The Khmer Empire, at its greatest extent in the 12th-13th centuries, encompassed most of mainland Southeast Asia, including parts of present-day Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar. The empire's capital, Angkor, was located in what is now Cambodia.

You took the words right out of my mouth. He must have a large wardrobe at home with all sorts of uniforms ready for his next posting.. When health minister in charge of solving the Covid pandemic he dressed like a doctor. now he dresses like a general.

Maybe his next post will be the minister of agriculture... I'll let you guess why...

I'm sure he had more than the peoples interests at heart.

Is that a military uniform he is wearing?  I thought he is a politician, not a soldier. Is he suddenly planning to lead from the front? Or photo op?

Guess Im not going to Surin or Buriram via Osmach in the next few months.

No problems at the moment.

My landlord recently returned home to Siem Reap from hospital in Ubon Ratchathani and all was as usual crossing the border to/from Thailand. Same goes for the Choam (Anlong Veng) to Chong Sa-Nagm (Sisaket) crossing. Business as usual between the Khmers and Thais, also foreigners visiting the casinos.

Business as usual between the Khmers and Thais,

Thats because up there they are all Khmer-Thais or vice versa.

The only folks who get f'ed in this spat are the poor jungle folks on both sides of the border.

I think that's a normal government uniform. The government departments are organised in a  fairly militaristic way.
