I'm surprised it's allowed to have so many BM names. Makes the whole site seem less legitimate. 

Well everything has changed all over the world and Thailand has become a bit more family-friendly so to speak, there's definitely less talent than there used to be, the girls are bigger and older, and the really young and beautiful ones have a lot more options now.

 

Pattaya and Phuket both seem to attract the true dregs of the tourism world. Part of the reason why both of those places are so overpriced is the presence of so many Russians, they just don't seem to know the difference between cheap and expensive, and they seem to be willing to pay whatever people ask. I doubt if I will ever return.

Soi LK Metro, Billabong bar. 6pm until 1am. Awesome happy hours. Before that we were at Kåres Party Bar on the Cow. Nice salami and cheese baguette for 129 baht. 

 

Not sure why you felt the need to be so snarky. You seem to have completely misconstrued my comment as an attack on Pattaya when I was simply stating facts. That's par for the course here on AN so I'll let it slide this time.

Pattaya has 5 or 6 beaches. Hundreds of restaurants.  Hundreds of bars. Plus loads of pretty girls.

If you can't find what you want: then begone with you; begone!

I think the quality of the tourists in Pattaya is definitely improving. People are moving from Spain to Pattaya to buy property and get out of Britain which has become terrible recently.

 Since u not been here in 17yrs.did u think Pattaya just close and wait for you to come back?  Things, Society and you change over time.  Whatever nationality will come and spend money that's the end of story.   I bet you look different too! 

Although things have changed in Pattaya and elsewhere, not for the better on the face of it, these days you need to know where to go to find what you are looking for. Sadly I doubt the amazing, fun atmosphere that existed on the streets 50 approx years ago will ever be seen again.

Time changes, but the Pattaya we have today, isn't that bad. It's been a shift to become a more retirement friendly and family friendly place. At least the latter is their goal.

I love it here, but I don't frequently hang out at bars and such, and have already found my partner. Pattaya and the Jomtien area have so much more to offer than girls, soi 6 and walking street. And now it's far from crowded here either, low season or not.

My first visit to Pattaya was in 2005.  Has it changed?  Hell yes.  But what city in the world has not?  And while I am looking around at change maybe I might want to look in the mirror.   

The problem is that Thailand like most countries has tried to increase their tourist income by focusing on volume not quality.  Most countries do the same until the locals rise up in rebellion.   Airbnb has destroyed a lot of places around the world for locals because as short term rentals price out long term.  My rent in Puerto Vallarta was going to be over 125,000 baht versus 56,000 for a bigger better apartment here.  

This tourist arrived in the lowest of low season and wonders why the girls are not of the quality he wants.  Many of the sex workers are taking time off from the bars and massage parlors because they can make as much money online with less time.  Or they have gone home because the money they can make this month will barely cover their expenses.   There are probably more Loa sex workers percentage wise because they are more desperate for money to send home. But they too are smart enough at business to know when it doesn't pay    Finally he might be looking for the most beautiful in a low price bar.  Location location location.   Sex workers are pretty good at figuring out how much they are worth and how to get that.
