Which is also insane. Incarceration should be for instances where serious harm occurred. A kid doing fantasy digital art may cause offence, hate speech may cause offence. But offence is not real harm. If this kind of stuff is prosecuted we're into the realm of thought crimes. Prisons will overflow.

Probably also falls under the defamation laws.  OK, America has sort of ruled on this....that's good.   I am slightly confused how kids can play with fake guns, bombs, etc..... imagine if you had a daughter and this was a thing at school.  it would easily ruin a term, maybe a year, maybe much longer.  yea, you gotta crack down hard on this.   Now, kids will always still do everything, but you still have to send a strong message.      The Supreme Court has implicitly concluded that computer-generated pornographic images that are based on images of real children are illegal.

Of course there were things I never talked to my parents about. And they knew very well not to ask about those subjects. They did however set up boundaries and taught me what to do and what not to do. One of those rules was to not be a total jerk.

He's a minor so no court case and no court punishment.  Nothing will happen as it hasn't already and the kid is still doing it. He needs to be pulled from school and sent to a juvenile center for supervision. His parent need to be addressed for allowing it to continue.  Typical thai reaction will prevail and nothing really will happen as there are no foreigners involved

I'm rather surprised by some of the replies in this thread.  This boy wasn't just creating fake porn images using AI - he was creating these images with the faces of the underage girls in his class.  So now those girls will be able to find porn images all over the internet that are apparently of themselves.....  As we know, once it's on the internet, it stays on the internet.  Can you imagine the repercussions for those girls whose images have been created using AI?

This happened previously at a well known International School in Bangkok. 

 

The 'boy' in question who has 'photoshopped' the face of two girls on a naked female image was dealt with severely, a brief investigation led to his immediate expulsion from the school.... 

... IMO this is the ONLY correct way to handle such an issue, legal proceedings aside.

 

Thai schools on the other hand seem more intent on protecting their reputation and engaging in a soft stance rather than dealing with such issues as harshly as they should.

Girls have it hard enough being the subject of a high percentage of molestation at schools here. It's one major reason I'll be leaving with my own daughter as soon as possible.

The people viewing that 'child porn' will not know that the images are fake.  This is why creating fake images of child porn (eg in the UK) is as illegal as taking real photos......
