If this isn't a perfect example of gaslighting by the MAGA's.

 

They found ONE US based mobile phone manufacturer. One because there is only one, as stated in the article.

 

In 11 years he has sold 10.000 phones, that is less than 1000 a year for the maths challenged MAGA's, with a free for all open source operating system, at a price of 1999 US$, and build them with a staff of just A DOZEN people.

 

He also sells the same phone built in China for a price of 799 US$

 

Its Liberty Phone, manufactured near San Diego, comes with U.S.-made electronics installed on a metal chassis from China. It retails for $1,999. Another phone, the Librem 5, is mostly the same design, except it’s made in China with Chinese parts, and costs $799.

 

And they want to use this as an example that Apple should be able to build their millions of phones in the US without a price increase.😂

 

Sure the poor educated MAGA base will take this a truth.

Gaslighting was you guys claiming for years Biden was sharp as a tack, even though everyone knew he was completely gaga.

The metal chassis is probably one of a thousand that have been manufactured in China over the past decade. Everything that goes in the phone evidently is assembled in the United States. I assume the most important chips are as well.

 

Lack of sales is of absolutely no importance. There are a number of highly specialized phones made by large manufacturers that don't even sell that many.

 

I guess I'm most disturb that you think that you've made some sort of point here. I know you believe you've made a political point but I'm talking about a point of fact.

Factor those in along with the affects on the still non-existent supply chain, and the price will likely be $3,000+.

 

Note:  you can't spell "chain" without "China".

How will the largest and wealthiest it corporation in the world with manufacturing facilities and perhaps a dozen countries cope? Is that a serious question?

 

 The custom phone manufacturer in the article could have a multitude of problems in which Apple has none of but that hasn't entered your mind.
