No. Russia has been building up its military on Finland's border and has already threatened both Sweden and Finland.

Before or AFTER they foolishly joined NATO ?

A complete BS. This is a hoax to justify NATO military build up, using taxpayers money. It means less benefits to the population.

yes, UK announced big spending and Aid to Ukraine while actual people have to suffer cuts to spending on hospitals etc etc

After Ukraine invasion which was a turning point in public opinion in favor of NATO membership.

which was nothing to do with any other country than the interference of the US, the US pushed this type of Russia fear on the 2 countries, who now stupidly have to spend billions on unnecessary weapons and become a target.

International sanctions after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 have been ineffective in countering Russian arms manufacturing. Russian military production has steadily grown, with missile production now exceeded pre-war levels. Russia currently manufactures more ammunition than all NATO nations combined, estimated at seven times the amount of the West. It has doubled its annual tank production and tripled its artillery and rocket production from pre-invasion numbers. Russia's production costs are drastically lower than those of competing nations, costing about 10 times less to create an artillery shell than comparable NATO ammunition.[10][11][12] As of 2024, Russia produces about 3 million artillery shells a year, nearly three times the quantity from the US and Europe.[13]

"The world is in travail, and its agitation waxeth day by day. Its face is turned towards waywardness and unbelief. Such shall be its plight, that to disclose it now would not be meet and seemly. Its perversity will long continue. And when the appointed hour is come, there shall suddenly appear that which shall cause the limbs of mankind to quake. Then, and only then, will the Divine Standard be unfurled, and the Nightingale of Paradise warble its melody." (Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 118)  Something terrible is coming down the pipeline. I think we'll see what it is before 2030.

In English, please.

It is the same Russia that has invaded or taken control of territories of few neighboring countries, like Chechnya, Georgia and Moldova and has invaded Ukraine multiple times since 2014. The same Russia that has doubled their military spending just in last four years.

The same Russia whose top government officials repeatedly and publicly threaten to attack and annex other neighboring countries.

There are quite a few tiny neighboring NATO countries that Russia could easily annex in a day or few (and it has threatened to do it too) and then see how NATO would respond, if at all.

Russia are not a threat to western democracies and even if there was a teeny tiny threat it would certainly pale into insignificance with the invasion already taking place in western countries from 3rd world barbaric, medieval, misogynistic countries that threaten the stability and culture of those countries from within.   It's not Russian operatives that were raping white girls in their tens of thousands in UK cities now is it?   It wasn't Russian operatives that killed little girls in Southport that resulted in violence on the streets, or the current rioting in Northern Ireland as a result of more immigrant rapists.  Putin knows the west is destroying itself from within.  He doesn't need to spend a single rouble to destroy the west as he can just sit back and watch it destroy itself, wasting money on a military that is not allowed to defend the country from the real and present threats already inside the borders.

Given the track record of German intelligence I wonder why anyone would believe anything they say.

Where's the evidence?

What evidence does Kahl have of Russia's intentions?

Increased activity? Lol. Okay then.

I've said this before and I'll say it again:  World War 3 Is Coming For Sure and it will be provoked by US, NATO, and its allies.  But whatever causes it will be squarely blamed on Russia, China, Iran, and the DPRK.  Most Western citizens simply are itching for war.

As an "elderly, anti-war US veteran, all I can say is, "Be careful what you wish for."  Big power conflicts will go nuclear this time around. Guaranteed.

While I agree with much of what you say, I'm somewhat more optimistic, at least in terms with any kind of nuclear war over Ukraine, NATO or not. The USA is done with Ukraine, and if the EU, or rather the UK and France, do anything stupid, it's their problem. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near London or Paris.  Those will be targets one and two.

Unfortunately, even if the US (Trump) is done with Ukraine, that doesn't mean that the possibility of war has gone away. The Neocons will do their best to just move the "forever war" to some other part of the globe. Their Puppet Masters always make money on wars, no matter where the location. And what's the point of a nuclear war?  You'd be killing the goose that laid the golden egg.  The idea is to keep the game going.  Bleed the taxpayers forever.  Nice gig, if you can get away with it.

So we now only have to worry about two localities.  China/Taiwan and the Middle East.  Both problematic, but I'm hopeful Trump will steer clear of any real trouble.

First, he needs to sideline Netanyahu and his belief that Israel can control US foreign policy.  Make a deal with Iran and step aside. I seriously doubt Israel will be able to act alone. Or rather, if they did act alone, they wouldn't want to put up with the consequences. They'd be fighting a regional war at that point, and their enemies would be much of the Arab world, including Egypt. And Turkey would not stay neutral.  They don't have the manpower to fight all those armies.

As for China?  Hopefully, the trade tensions will subside and Xi Jinping will have the sense to abstain from any invasion of Taiwan. He needs political stability at home and a resumption of trade with the USA and its consumers. The last thing he needs is a war.  So maybe the US will avoid trouble there, as well.

Yep - Putin is planning to march on Berlin and Paris, and afterward onward to Madrid.

While at the same time having a collapsing  economy , running out of men, missiles, bullets no ball bearings or washing machines and on the brink of death from cancer and /or a coup to depose him.

No one in Germany wants to invade Russia. We have been struggling in bringing east Germany up to standard. We surely don´t need more underdeveloped territory.

I'm sure if you went around Germany and asked the man on the street about going to war with Russia and perhaps instigating a nuclear war, they'd all tell you they weren't interested.  But the politicians and the war machine and the propaganda outlets seem to be running the show, regardless of what the "people" would want.

Merz certainly seems to be a warmonger of the first order. He's escalated things as if he already had nuclear weapons, the lunatic.

Hey.. Don't forget China and N. Korea

You can not include China in this, their only small discretions were directed towards Taiwan which was always "Chinese" territory.

We are now expected to believe they are readying themselves to take on NATO countries?

This article only says they are going to "TEST" Nato response, perhaps by a small incursion into a small country like Lithuania.  I would like to see the Nato result myself....

Hopefully things won't escalate further, but no doubt if Russia does attack a NATO country, the Putin apologists will tell us that Russia's reaction is fully justified and that Estonia, Finland, Latvia, etc brought it on themselves.

Why oh why, in any conceivable universe would Russia attack Finland or any other NATO country? For what?

So the German intelligence services think Russia will invade Finland because......why? Russia would incur the risk of nuclear war to get sauna know-how or for what reason?
