Snakes repellent

Featured Replies

Hello

I have sometimes snakes in my house, I put some protections, but for more efficiency, I would like to put snake repellent near my door

which one do you recommend ?  I don't want chemical, I know that naphtalene is good, but too dangerous for humans and other animals

thank you

We use Sulphur blocks in small net bags, no harm to our dogs or us, but the Joe Blakes won't come near

Lemon Grass also works

The best snake repellent is working on the fence line and also not leaving things that attract snakes around the house like piles of rubbish and chicken etc.

Go and buy lemon grass plants I get it in Macro leave in water for a couple of days to root get a pot throw some soil in and place by your entrance snakes don’t like Lemmon grass hope this hops

Rainy season is here and with that comes the snakes hunting for the chickens that trives around our place. These snakes seems to be quite popular among the Burmeese people here! They catch them and CHOP CHOP....a lot of snake chops for the BBQ!!🤣 These snakes do not last long around these parts! Burmese...best snake "repellent" ever!!🤣🤣🤣

Keep the grass and vegetation short and the area clean also helps, snakes like cover to lurk in and under

Fly sprays work any pest sprays soak the concrete or gravel they hate it

Essential Oils..........Tea tree, Cinnamon, clove, peppermint, lemongrass, citronella........just put 50/60 drops in 8 oz water and spray around doorways

Also grow lemongrass, rosemary grows fast and lavender.....been using tea tree oil for 30 years. especially when traveling up country.

Thank you all for your responses ; snakes I speak about are young cobras ( two in my house and also in other houses in the village )

Here's my snake repellent.

I made it myself after two snakes - at different times - came into our house uninvited.

Now if they come again I'm fully prepared to give them a warm welcome.

But lots of FUN!

We have two water monitors on the property; not so much 'snake repellents' but they are snake eaters. They stay their side of the wall by the pond, I keep my distance they keep theirs.

If they come in to your house, then, ypu guys have more problems than just a snake problem.

You got me there.   More fun if someone else pays for the ammo.  But lots of fun.

That was one reason I like being in the National Guard and Army Reserve.  They paid for  the ammo, I never got tired of shooting it, even if other people did, and when they got tired of shooting, they gave me the ammo they had left over and I shot that too.
