Why do most people NOT smoke weed even though it's legal?

Some of us have simply grown out of it. Smoked a lot in my younger days. But anything can become boring after a while.

It was a habit that eventually became pathetically boring as time passed. My life is better without it.

Indeed. I think it goes to show that cannabis is a drug with low addictive potential.

 

Alternatively, it goes to show that cannabis is not really legal. The legality in Thailand is shaky, and there's the question about what happens if you test positive outside Thailand.

I avoid most drugs. Rarely drink too. Weed makes you sleepy. Why do it? Cool when 19yo, sad when old.

I had friends that just got stoned and sat around doing dumb <deleted> everyday. Some went mad. All drugs are dangerous if overused.

I don't smoke.

 

Also don't feel a need for an external way to get high .... a 5km+ run gives me a pleasant, uplifting buzz for about 2 hours post run, sex has a similar effect (if I don't fall asleep afterwards 😀).

 

Regarding alcohol, I've long passed that phase .... it takes a lot of effort at my age to feel healthy, so I don't want to waste a day feeling rough for one night of drinking.  And my friends and the Missus appreciate the drive home by a sober person after a group night out.

Kinda pisses on those 'drugs are bad' idiots fireworks doesn't it.

In my local there are about 5 smokers. There were 5 before, but just did it at home.

I think it's the opposite. When you're young, you can have a lot of fun stuff to do without getting stoned - girls, party, free sex etc. But when your old, weed might be one of your few options for fun.
