My theory is that there is organized and paid opposition to weed legalization. I'm guessing they focus-group tested this message and found a sympathetic audience since most people genuinely don't want to cause discomfort in others. Sat in a bar yesterday. Two Benidorm Brits sat down and lit up a joint. 

 

I could literally not believe it. I asked them politely they couldn't smoke that here. They turned and look at me in the typical council estate way Brits do, and were yearning for a fight to complete their day. 

 

I looked around at the some of the workers who were quite frankly unequiped to deal with this. 

 

We just left.

 

But it's absolutely vile.

The marijuana laws have attracted Bendirom Magaluf types Brits, from council estates. Anything to stop them is welcome in my opinion.

Why not make it less available:
1. restrict the number of outlets (say 2 in Pattaya, 4 in Bangkok, etc) by charging a huge licence fee, to the highest bidders. 2. charge a very high duty on the sale of the product.

Like cigarettes the product should not be flaunted to the sight if non-users and children.

whats with all this faux concern  about "the children"     All these vulnerable children in pattaya will see people drinking alcohol every day , do the poor souls not require shielding from that ? if not why not?
