The far-reaching powers of IOs have to be curtailed across the board, every country has this issue. There are no detailed rules, so people can make informed decisions. It's just left up to the whim of some IO.

No, it's not "up to the whim of some IO" it is up to the discretion with which the state empowers them.

So it's up to the whim of the IO.

Maybe immigration have seen the level of stupidity in their face.

Perfect decision.

Those idiots the world doesn't need.

Yup - they look ridiculous...   And anyone with face tatts certain sets of alarm-bells...

But really, is that any reason to reject him ???  -    antiquated thinking, he could be a decent

For the record - I have no tattoos, but certainly don't pass judgement on those who do - I think he's been treated unfairly....  this is almost a form of bigotry...

Just try a temporary one ...you might like it.......

Unemployable with face tattoos.

You can’t ever let a client or prospect see them or it reflects on you as the business owner.

Says he's a plasterer, as much work as he wants, nobody cares what he looks like.

Well, he may say that but people do care what others look like.

To me, his facial tattoos suggest many possibilities about him none of them good.

An astounding lack of foresight would be one.

A "rebel without a clue", anti-establishment syndrome as another.

An "I don't give a sh?t" attitude as another.

Any of these, again suspected not confirmed, would be enough for me to move on to the next plasterer looking for work.

6 months wait for the next one, bit of a shortage in the UK.

As for construction workers in general, you only see what they look like when they turn up.

I'm happy for any legal British citizens to work on my house.

Hopefully straight white Christian males!

In recent times Dubai has become a staging post for crims to import huge drug shipments  of hundreds of kilos of cocaine  and also illegal tobacco and vapes into Ausralia. As most of these characters are involved in bikie gangs AND  love plenty of tattoos I think that the Dubai immigration might have had some intel about this bloke but no evidence to arrest him and just decided to reject him.

Whitby or Scarborough, it is then.

Unless he wants to visit Ecuador, Honduras, or Colombia, where I am sure he will fit in.
