June 29, 2025Jun 29 I used to buy gold and bought it in baht, so I thought that buying silver in bars would be a good idea. Went to one of the main registered shops and bought some but they charged almost double the value. Does anyone else here buy silver, and if you do, how or what do you buy? Wondering if it is better to buy jewelry instead.

I have some 1 oz silver rounds from the US, but when I first got here 18 year ago a couldn't find anyone in Thailand dealing in silver bullion. These are long term investments, I've had them for decade. Saving them for a rainy day. I bought the for around $7 / oz. Not even sure what silver is selling for now.
