Inside Russia channel -- one the best sources about wartime Russia

Featured Replies

In case you don't know about this channel, it's amazing and it's creator is a wonderful human being.

He is no longer Inside Russia but is very educated on economic and energy industry topics and has extensive contacts in country.

There is even entertainment value on his weekly Crazy Russia News offering.

I'm posting this about his problem with google demonetization. He's in a real Kafkaesque situation and it's very unfair.

It's looking hopeless now but I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas that might still give some hope?

Kind of two minds about this bloke. At one point he was very pro-Putin. He had a Green Card, good job in the US, married an American lady, had kids, then he split and went back to Russia as Putin took the reins. Putin was never a good man made bad.

When Crimea was occupied, he marked it by posting a family holiday video declaring it the best beach in Russia. There is a hint of grifting with his nightly prayer vigils. As far as Russian emigres go, he has means, evidenced from his regular holidays in Dubai. At one point he provided interesting insight, given his previous role as an economist for a Russian energy company. But now he more or less regurgitates Russian headlines.

Vlad Vexler is interesting. He's not a well man, with some sort of degenerative disease that will probably kill him. But as a Russian philosopher, in the Anglosphere, he provides an interesting analysis on the Russian midset, as well as the sociopathic tendancies of Putin.

Then there is Daniil Orain who treads an amazingly narrow line in his provocative Russian vox pops.

Well, he's still demonized.

But now he's seriously worried about being murdered by the Putin regime.

He's right to be worried, but this is a very sad situation.

Basically You Tube is huge and mostly algo-driven and he is clout chasing - don't do evil has long been abandoned - he has been caught in a caught in an  emcompassing all sanctions package . Same goes for WillyOAM and History Legends but they don't moan about demometization but run effective Patreons and other funding channels. I doubt Putin is worried about so no name You Tuber moabing about being potless.

Or if you want inside Russia  try British SAM

Or Eli andactual Russian babe

I looked up his Patreon and ran it through Gemini. Then there's Buy me a coffee and still he moans about demonetization. @Base32 is right about his grifting.

Summary

With both platforms combined, this creator is likely generating roughly £175,000 to £180,000 per year ($225,000 USD) before platform fees and taxes.

Note: Buy Me a Coffee is often used as a "tip jar" for one-time spikes in income (e.g., if a specific video goes viral or he makes an emergency appeal), so this figure could fluctuate more wildly than the stable Patreon income.

Scenario Avg Pledge Monthly Revenue Yearly Revenue
Minimum £2.50 £6,250 £75,000
Realistic ~£5.00 £12,500 £150,000
High End ~£8.00 £20,000 £240,000
