5 star Hotels with weekly and monthly rates for December

Featured Replies

Wifey is demanding a nice 5 star for the month (or a week) any good deals out there?

Are you asking about a real 5 Star, or one of the many self declared 5 Star Hotels? Self declared start around 40k for the month.

As a hotelier, I can tell you that just about any hotel will give you a room for a monthly rate which is around half of it's daily rate.

But you will spend a lot of money on room service, laundry, etc., if you are not careful.

Might be best if you see a hotel or hotels you like and contact them direct?  I can't suggest a specific hotel in Patts, but I've done this before elsewhere and a got a great deal.  At that time I contacted about 12 hotels, some didn't bother to reply, some simply offered a multiple of their daily rate but a couple offered really good deals.  Might be tougher as December might be high season.  Good luck!

Any tips on which hotels gave good rates? I am 0/5 so far.

Aiya.  Bad luck.  It could be it's too soon.  It could be hotels are keeping their powder dry to see how many bookings might come for December.  December being the start oh high season, traditionally when rooms are at their fullest / most expensive.  It might be better to wait till October to try, or November, I am only guessing as it is not an exact science.  It's a balance, like booking a flight.  Early can be expensive, late can be cheap.  Or vice versa.  You buy at a certain time, then it might be cheaper next week.  It's almost like a gamble.  I hope this makes sense!

For me?  It was a large chain hotel that I got the best deal in (Marriott).  But that does not mean to say they would be best now.  Too many variables.  A little mom & pop place might like to secure revenue early, they might want to gamble and earn more later, but then they might get nothing.

Sorry, I cannot give you a magic answer, I don't think there is one.  But I hope I have helped you a little to understand the market.

I love the hard rock but no deals yet.  Best pool/location in town.

Deals, what do you expect to pay for a decent hotel.

Dusit Thani has released very good weekly rates. Around 23000 baht per week with breakfast during high season.

Yet Agoda can give me at least two of any type of room there except Executive Suite and Deluxe Triple 3 Single.  Go figure.
