Vietnam gears up for a major exhibition to boost its national image, emphasising achievements and aspirations for progress.

Nguyen Hoa Binh, Vietnam's Standing Deputy PM, highlighted the significant role of an upcoming exhibition in showcasing the country’s achievements and promoting its image globally. This event not only celebrates national traditions but also seeks to inspire progress and development among its people.

Binh stressed the exhibition’s role in strengthening national unity and reinforcing public confidence in both the Party's and the State’s leadership. The ultimate aim is to instil faith in a brighter future for Vietnam.

High-quality standards are paramount, the Deputy PM noted, urging that the exhibition must reach international standards and impress both domestic and international visitors alike. To achieve these goals, he called on various ministries and local authorities to commence their preparations immediately.

Earlier on the same day, a meeting led by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha addressed the draft Programme for the Development of the Environmental Industry, aimed at vision through 2050. Ha critiqued the draft, stating it lacks clarity and measurable objectives.

He urged the Ministry of Industry and Trade to review current policies and suggest necessary regulatory improvements. The government plans to play a leading role in areas that are costly or risky, such as hazardous waste management, eco-friendly materials, and the development of recycling technologies for wind and solar waste.

These key discussions reflect Vietnam’s commitment to integrating tradition with forward-thinking strategies, striving for sustainable environmental practices alongside fostering national pride.
