Police in Hua Hin have arrested a 20-year-old man on 14 July, who carried out an armed robbery at a convenience store using a knife, making off with cash before being apprehended just days later.

Pol Col Kampanat Na Wichai, Superintendent of Hua Hin Police Station, along with Pol Lt Col Patiwat Wichien (Deputy Superintendent of Investigation, Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Police), Pol Lt Col Satianpong Kraipinit (Investigation Inspector), and other officers from the investigation team, led the operation that resulted in the arrest of Mr. Ratchanon aged 20.

The suspect was apprehended with key evidence in his possession, including 2,044 baht in cash, a Honda motorcycle (registration from Prachuap Khiri Khan) and other items related to the case, including the clothing worn during the robbery. He has been charged with “armed robbery using a vehicle.”

According to police, the robbery occurred at a convenience store located within a PTT petrol station in Khao Tao (northbound side), Nong Kae subdistrict, Hua Hin district. The suspect used a knife to threaten staff and stole 3,300 baht in cash before fleeing the scene.

During interrogation, Mr. Ratchanon confessed fully to the crime. The successful investigation and arrest led representatives from CP All – the operator of the convenience store chain, to present a gift basket to Hua Hin Police in appreciation of their work. The basket was formally received by Pol Col Kampanat on behalf of the station.
