I just ordered a small electrical part from the internet (lazada) & and found the sizing in the diagram to be 1247 NM --thinking this just print error & meant MM= Millimeter  converted it and found it way to large.

Goggle informed me it is 1 NM is 1 millionth of a meter --in school (way back in the 50s) we used a micrometer , or a Vernier calipers to measure down to one thousandth of an inch.

Up until yesterday I had never heard of a NM...............Nano Meter

Anyway--just stick this post away in the pub, I am sure it will have 1 NM interest to most readers..................:coffee1:

Actually it is nm, NM is a Newton Mega which doesn't make sense.

Does this count as a grammar-police post and I will have to delete it? :whistling:

You would need a good microscope to see if what you ordered actually turned up 😛

Maybe 1247 nm is 1.247 microns ?? tiny
