Just because the same person is in power for 15 years doesn't (necessarily) make it bad.

 

In some ways, the current electoral process is worse because everyone is trying to slit each other's throats to get elected. And everyone is constantly fighting.

 

I wonder if Russians spend way less time bickering about politics.

Maybe, for all the sunshine and cheap beer, quite a few guys out here are still looking for purpose, routine, or connection, even if it’s in yet another circular thread about female relationships or your latest shopping trip to Makro.

 

So is it a harmless time-waster, or does it point to something deeper? Either way, if you find yourself posting more than living, it might be time to log off and walk outside. There’s still a real Thailand out there, beyond the reply button.

AN provides, for most participants, a space for useful exchanges of information and opinion, and for the occasional laugh. Nothing more complicated than that.

In my opinion about 99 out of every 100 members of AN are 100% against drug dealers or anything to do with drugs at all, so why when some members make posts saying that anyone caught dealing drugs should be jailed then banned from Thailand get lots of Thumbs Down Emo's? Are they stalking other members or what?

My personal opinion is anyone caught dealing or in possession of drugs should be jailed and banned from Thailand for good. Am I now going to get swamped with Thumbs Down Emo's?

My mother is 84 and is out every day, but then again there are actually things to do in the UK and it isn't like going out into a sauna, and they have actual pavements where its safe and civilized to walk.

How safe is it really for an 84 year old to walk alone anywhere in the UK? I'm a bit away from 84 but when I'm in the UK I always carry a sturdy folded in half walking stick with me. No need for that in Thailand.
