90days by mail - wait 30 days?

Featured Replies

Immi writes, if I wait more than 30 days, I should go in person, with the slip of the registered letter.

IIRC they mean 30 days since the due date, not since the date I posted my letter to them (which is 15 days befor the due date)?

You can, but I've seen reports of people saying that they received their confirmation back in the mail just before their next due date.  Sometimes it can take a while. The entire point of submitting by mail is to avoid going there in person.  I would just take the proof of registered letter next time and do the TM47 in person, and argue it at that point.

I have had them take up to 6 weeks to get the 90 day report receipt back in the mail.

I wouldn't do anything, just wait it out and IF you don't get it before your NEXT 90 day due date, take the EMS tracking confirmation of receipt of this report to the office with the NEXT 90 day report

They have a whole box of undelivered envelopes of receipts when you go in and many times peoples' return letters are in it

You were right.

I didn't have the nerve to wait, so after about 45 days I went to CW. No need for a queue number,  in less than 10 minutes they brought me my confirmation of 90days-report. Why they didn't send it to me, I don't know.

BTW this was the first 90days after coming back from abroad. "Mail" counts as "in person", just as you and @DrJack54have said

I know got a letter with the confirmation of that 90days report.

Exactly  2 months after due date.

Now I have 2 of them,  different signatures.

Signatures irrelevant.

So you have two different next report due dates?

No, the same next report date on both.
