Where to buy insulated cool box?

Featured Replies

Every restaurant in Thailand has one of these, usually blue.

I need to clean out my freezer. Such a box would be an excellent solution with dry ice.

So where to buy one? And how much for the smallest size?

TIA!

Australians call them Eskys. They are white, made out of polystyrene. I use mine for defrosting the fridge, and bringing home frozen food from Makro.

IIRC I bought two at Thai Watsadu. The larger one was only 200 baht. Calling them grapow doo yenn seemed to work.

Makro has a variety of choices.....

Cameroni, the whole purpose is to defrost the freezer to clean it while keeping the food frozen!

Kacessit, Aussie Eskies are insulated beach coolers, I'm talking about the big, freezer-sized ones used by restaurants.

If you are talking about the big ones you can hire them from an ice company.

Thanks, Greasy. I'm off to Thai Watsadu today to have a look.

But you're right. Last cleanout was six years ago. Maybe better to rent if they'll go for a few days or a week.

Are you talking about the huge blue ones, like the beach vendors have?

Those are usually rented, the rental company have their phone number on the boxes.
