Have you noticed? Stock markets (globally) keep rising. Surely, earnig reports look good for now, but at the same time the consensus arises that for the next year the outlook is far less optimistic. Numerous macro economic factors starting to "sink in".

Could it be, that investors are in a mode "to miss out on something", thus keep buying, regardless of other considerations?

If that should be the case, this is usually a good sighn that long lasting bull markets are near their peak.

On the other hand, I would be glad to hear of future concepts that would assure that the current bull market will never end.

The Swiss are the people to ask ....canny .

If slapped with Import-Tariffs of 39% by Donald, all the "cannieness" will not help.

Rigth..with the tariffs 39% they will struggle.

I thought that was just a "tax on Americans" according to the forum economic experts. So no need for Swiss folk to struggle or be concerned. Unless, of course, the forementioned narrative is hogwash borne through irrational hatred and is like all their other mantras, complete BS. I wonder I wonder.....

As for markets, DJT is helping US firms. Expect the US markets to generally rise through his term, and the rest of the world to broadly follow.

Ok good luck with the whole situation in Switzerland. I was being facetious, of course Trumps tariffs are difficult for foreign exporters, regardless of wokies and their woke mantras. Hope a fair deal can be reached for both sides before tariffs kick in.

Edit to add, look on the bright side, at least youre not in Canada which has essentially scuttled their entire economy by ensuring they will be tariffed till the cows come home to appeal to their msm believing irrational Trump haters.

America catches a cold and the world sneezes. An old saying. It refers to America leading the way for other countries economies

Of course woke countries like Canada that bask in trade surplusses and unfair trade ractises will be devastated, sensible negotiating countries will be just fine. Switzerland is IMO a sensible and rational country. Allow the Americans to sell their products their and everyone will be happy.

investing in the stock market = gambling

too many factors affecting it and often goes up or down for no apparent reason

but if you have a horseshoe up your butt, go for it

Love it. Market Research going back 150 years (London Stock Exchange). As far as "pivot points" (reversing a trend) they were as clueless as we are today.

For your information: Switzerland has imposed a 1% tax on imported US goods. Going back for decades.

The Swiss Market has been open for US products for decades.

The problem seems to be that US products are not in high demand in Switzerland. (Or in the rest of the world, unless it originates from "silicone valley").

In other words: You can lead a horse to a well, but you can't force it to drink the water.

1% tax you say. Sounds like Trump is being a naughty boy? Might Trump be triggered about the Swiss trade surplus with the US? Wasn't it a surplus of $47.4bn in 2024?

A mask slip moment? Why do the woke always intentionally mis-state facts and concoct strawman arguments that don't even need a huffing and puffing wolf to cause them to collapse?
