A passenger train travelling from Thon Buri to Ratchaburi struck a motorcycle on the evening of 8 August, killing one person.

The incident occurred at approximately 18:30 between Thon Buri Station and Taling Chan Junction, near Bang Ramat halt. Train No. 351, hauled by diesel locomotive No. 4135, had departed Thon Buri Station at 18:15 as scheduled before the fatal collision was reported to Taling Chan Junction’s station master.

The motorcyclist had attempted to cross in front of the train, on an unofficial crossing with no warning lights or barriers. Despite the train sign soundings its horn and a waiting pedestrian waving his arms, the motorcyclist still attempted to race across the front of the train.

Having seen a video of a pickup driving into the 4th cartridge of a passing train you begin to wonder how there are any OAP Thais in existence🤔
