You'll notice that they are all FROM Liverpool.

No one stays there if they have a chance to get away.

But your lot still paid 50 million dollars - OK, so that's not much in proper currencies these days - for an over-the-hill Brit to come and publlicise the game.

I remember the big bruhaha back when I was a kid when another international Over -The- Hill Soccer superstar, Pele came to New York City to play for the Cosmos for the now defunct NASL back in the early 70's. My Dad took me to a game at Giants Stadium over in New Jersey ( "Joisey" ) - I was bored out of my mind. Even with the huge popularity of Pele, Soccer never took off here, and the same will most likely happen with that Mr. Posh Spice guy, who is only mostly in LA to start a movie career, that, and to hang out with Tom Cruise.

And as the US is heading towards a take-over by Mexicans and South Americans - it will soon be the national sport there too. :D

Even though the LA Galaxy ( "My Lot", apparently :o ) paid all that money for David Spice with this fact in mind, I doubt it - for their children will also learn to play Baseball, Basketball, and Football like other American children, once they become assimilated to the U.S. culture. We play, and are interested in watching more than just one single major sport here, unlike like you Europeans, I'm afraid. :D

Your national ladies team was world champions a year or two ago, I think. So there's hope for you yet.

Is that the time where that chick took of her shirt when the team won? Well, that would be the only reason for me to watch any Soccer game.. Other that, I'd have more fun watching grass grow..... Sorry :D
