The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Unit in Pattaya received a report of a collision involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle near the U-turn point in front of Hermes Golf Course on Road 331, Moo 3, Khao Mai Kaew subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province.

At the scene, rescuers found a bronze Honda Wave 125 motorcycle (license plate from Chonburi) lying in the middle of the road. The rider, a 12-year-old boy named Thanaphat, sustained abrasions across his body. Emergency personnel provided initial first aid before transferring him to Hospital for further treatment.

Nearby, the Isuzu D-Max pickup truck involved in the incident (license plate from Chonburi) showed visible signs of a side collision on its front. The driver, Mr Jeera aged 33, was at the scene to give his statement to authorities.

Mr Jeera explained that as he was making a U-turn, the motorcycle suddenly cut in front of him, causing him to brake and resulting in the collision which caused the boy to fall and be injured.

Shortly after, relatives of the injured boy arrived. Mr Jeera apologised and stressed that the incident was accidental and not intentional. Police have recorded the incident and will proceed with legal formalities accordingly.

What an idiot, what was he doing on a motocy, confiscate the bike and let the parents buy him a bicycle used by old ladies.

This is where the police "Soft approach" on law enforcement falls down badly, as noted above a 12 year old should not be in charge of a motorcycle but always the police look the other way, as with the problems with the Kuwaitie motorcycle hooligans,

What a lovely description of the police's idleness and ignorance of the daily death toll.

What ??

He should receive an apology and get all damage to his car compensated,

not by his insurance but from the parents of the 12 year old.
