A woman has died and a man has been injured after their car ploughed into the rear of a stationary 10-wheel truck in Taling Chan district on the morning of 15 August.

Police said the crash happened at around 05:30 on the Kanchanaphisek Road frontage road, opposite the Southern People’s Association, Bang Ramat subdistrict.

At the scene, officers found a blue Isuzu flatbed truck loaded with precast concrete slabs parked in the left-hand lane, its rear damaged from the impact. Nearby lay a car tyre, an alloy wheel, and a detached left-side door.

About ten metres away, a white Toyota Wish was discovered with its front end crushed. The vehicle’s front left wheel and doors had been torn off in the collision.

Inside, the driver, identified as 48-year-old Ekachai, was found injured and rushed to Mit Pracha Hospital. His passenger, 41-year-old Ms Nichapha, was thrown from the wreckage and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police documented the scene and are investigating the circumstances leading to the collision.
