Hanoi is gearing up for a bustling National Day holiday, with public transport braced for an extraordinary uptick in travellers. Hanoi Transport Station JSC, headed by Pham Manh Hung, is set to deploy an additional 1,000 buses to accommodate the increased public travel needs from 30th August to 2nd September.

This strategic expansion comes as passenger and vehicle numbers are projected to skyrocket, particularly from the afternoon of 28th August through to 30th August. The company expects the most significant outbound rush on 1st and 2nd September, a trend underscored by Giap Bat Bus Station's anticipation of around 30,000 passengers daily during this period. This represents a remarkable 350% hike compared to regular days, with bus services ramped up to handle 850–900 trips each day.

To ensure a smooth transit experience, Hung emphasised collaboration with the Hanoi Department of Public Security and the municipal Department of Construction. These agencies are instrumental in managing traffic flow, ensuring safety and maintaining order as the city navigates the holiday rush.

Their coordinated effort will include real-time updates and guidance on traffic regulations, enabling bus stations to adapt quickly to any challenges that may arise during these peak travel days. This proactive approach aims to mitigate congestion and enhance passenger safety and satisfaction.

The city's measures reflect a commitment to maintaining seamless transportation operations, ensuring residents and visitors alike can travel efficiently and safely during the festive period.
