A condominium manager and her boyfriend have surrendered to police after allegedly beating a resident unconscious, who later died from his injuries.

The suspects, identified as Ms. Chayanit, a juristic officer at a condominium in the Senanikom 1 area of Bangkok and her boyfriend, turned themselves in at Phaholyothin Police Station on 20 August. Officers took them into custody and transferred them to the Ratchada Criminal Court for remand.

The incident took place on 15 August around 16:00, when the pair reportedly assaulted Mr. Wichan, a resident of the building. Security cameras captured the attack, which left the victim critically injured. He was later pronounced dead at hospital.

On 16 August at around 01:00, the victim’s brother, Mr. Thanawat, filed a formal complaint with Phaholyothin Police, demanding legal action against the perpetrators and anyone else involved.

Investigators questioned Ms. Chayanit and her boyfriend for more than five hours before escorting them to court. Both refused to answer questions from the press and remained silent as they were led into a police vehicle.

Police have confirmed that the investigation will proceed with full charges, while the victim’s family insists they will pursue the case until justice is served.
